what kinda weighted worm hook are you using here ?? also is that weighted worm hook using a screw in mechanism into the nose of the baits ?? great video by the way!!

Lisa Faulk Look for Owner Twistlock, they have the screw in holder. Mustad Power Lock has a pin. I use 4/0 or 2/0 with 1/8oz weight.

+ww3869 If I were surf casting, The Baitbuster works well when the mullet run is on. To get on the bottom, I would use a CAL tail on a jighead. Often times there are bluefish in the surf as well making it hard to use soft plastic lures.

+VJTrey1 The TerrorEyz or CAL Shad tail bounced on the bottom are very effective. I have even caught some giant sheephead on the TerrorEyz and they are tough to get on lures. While I have never fished from a pier in Texas, I would think those fish eat the same things they do in Florida.

Hey Capt. Myers, do you have any topwater lures such as poppers or spooks?

There is a lot of floating grass where I fish so it is difficult to use topwater lures with multiple hooks. I use a shallow running DOA baitbuster that I reel across the surface. I also use the DOA Chughead on 5.5 inch CAL tail that makes a soft plastic weedless chugger. DOA is coming out with a floating weedless topwater lure later this year.
