I got them as well. Do you have to tighten the middle nut for the rod holder itself by hand or with a tool for it to stay snug? I tightened by hand but when trolling and a fish hits it comes loose

I just bought a couple of railblaza mounts for my nucanoe, then I was curious if monster had Kayak mounts and this video popped up

Hello my super awesome friend Does it come with a coffee smell to drive the catfish Crazy 😜

Only if you rub it on the holders themselves... and if you're ever tired out there on the water all you need to do is lick them a bit. Hope you've been good buddy 🤣😁

Any Salty in rough water vids?

There were a few clips in there from my previous trip, but I'm definitely looking to get out this fall. Got injured so I'm currently home-bound Whomp whomp

But are the tracks strong enough to handle a 100lb catfish?
@billcoulter19843 жыл бұрын
The track is the weak point, curios what happens when a big fish loads it up?
@CattermanAdventures3 жыл бұрын
@@billcoulter1984 You're both correct. The hardware used to install the Old Town tracks is not the strongest. I could see a very hard hitting fish ripping the rod holder right off 🤔🧐

How's this handle in the ocean?
@CattermanAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Hey Travis! I love my Old Town Salty PDL 120 kayak. On the ocean these rod holders also handle themselves well as they're made of stainless steel components. Happy new year!
@celticadventures66484 жыл бұрын
Yak attack rod holders are easier to install, lite weight, and strong. They are also made in America. Also cheaper.
@CattermanAdventures4 жыл бұрын
I love YakAttack, and use many of their products on my Salty. That rod holder is probably easier to mount and lighter, however, you have to love the multiple mounting angles you get with these in comparison (and they'll never snap).

How you liking that Salty? There's no such thing as a perfect kayak, so what are your complaints about that one? Those Smackdown rod holders look pretty sweet. I'm pretty sure those plastic rails are going to give out before the rod holder does. Been a few complaints about that already. Keep them videos coming!

I hate my rod holder man. I wish I never installed it on my kayak. I fish for bass mostly so I never really use it.

I completely feel you on that. I brought a rod holder once with me while bass fishing and that thing constantly got in the way

@@CattermanAdventures I thought about breaking the rivets and chucking it but I want to find something else to go over the holes other than just fill them with sealant 😁
