Football games peaked with Sensible World of Soccer. Easy to play, hard to master, enhanced by its management section for long term interest. Best on an Amiga with a Cheetah Bug joystick.

I have never been a huge lover of footie games, but I used to have this on my amiga and I used to love this a lot, I think it's the best footie game, I think there was a christmas mix of swos and canon fodder as a cover disk I also loved that.

I had the CD version of the DOS game back in the 90s (weirdly i had the full game on a demo disc) and Jonathan Pearce’s commentary was on that version. Maybe you had the floppy disc version without commentary. The CD version had a “music video” for Goal Scoring Superstar Hero as the into for the game which is very funny and you can find it on KZbin. I think there is a way of putting the intro video back on SWOS 2020, but I haven’t figured that out.

I have to say i love the editing on your videos, the Hong kong phooey reference was brilliant 😁 Now, i dont like football games but i watched to the end so it kept me entertained. Your delivery is wonderful mate. Great catch on the new updated version of the game, definitely be of interest to all those that loved the game back then 👍

Sensi is loads of fun. So immediate and accessible. Kick Off 2 was deeper I felt and with a better nuance of control. Not a popular opinion but one loads share. Both great options though

I loved "Goal" which was essentially Kick Off 3 in all but name. SWOS and Championship Manager Italia on Amiga 500 was ace 👌

I always started in the lower division and you always got a good reserve LW that was super fast and had great ball control, swos is by far the greatest football game ever made, really wish it was out for the PS5,loved my amiga 1200 also playing championship manager great times, match day on the spectrum and also a game called striker 😂brilliant.

Played the 92 version a lot back in the day, saw this version on xbox store for £7 recently and wish I had not waisted £7, had about 5 games up to now lost all of them 1-0 the opposition are so fast it's unreal trying to keep possession for more than 2 seconds is an achievement, and when you do get the ball and make a turn the ball rolls away from your feet, I could go on but it would be like trying to pick up 3 points IMPOSSIBLE.

This release works on steam deck too, but there's a hilarious bug if you try and play it without installing something that can read the database files first Basically game runs as normal but every stat for every player will be 0 so ac Milan will play worse than el Salvador league lmao
