Beatrice Dowdy Have you tried chanels perfection lumiere velvet? I am in my 20's, but have heard great things from mature women in their 50's say it's fabulous In coverage as well as not sinking into lines or pores. Check out HotandFlashy here on YT, she has a review. Good for oily skin too since its a more matte finish, but not drying. 😉 I'm sorry I don't have a cheaper alternative. 😕💄💋💕

Beatrice Dowdy try the Ellis Faas. I kid you not, I rewind the clock 20 years every morning with Faas foundation. I also like the glow-up because it's so microfine as to look utterly natural (a highlighter that doesn't look artificial is worth every penny on mature skin).

I have combo skin with the oily t zone. Never heard of the Faas foundation but just did a search. Too bad it's not in any high end dept stores cause I have to get matched cause I have a hard time getting a color match. I envy those who can just pick out their perfect shade. Will be turning 63 at the end of this month. I found an old video Wayne did for aging skin and he said the Giorgio Armani silk foundation did not settle into fine lines or wrinkles. Going to try that one bad see how it works. Thank you

Love Hot and Flashy too. Yes I tried the Chanel she recommended and it is good but they don't have enough shade selection. I'm in my early 60's with light to medium olive skin tone with combo skin with the oily tzone. Wish I could find some good drops to slightly darken the shade. I have tried all the stuff that Sephora recommended that they have but just doesn't work well. Thank you

+Beatrice Dowdy cover fx drops WILL work. Also nyx now sells a white mixing medium I believe. There is a KZbin artist called thatayla I think and she has videos where she lightens foundations for her pale skin. She has dark hair with blue green eyes.

Thank you! I seriously don't understand why a lot of people give the KVD Lock-It foundation so much hate because it's "thick" or "cakey". I use half to 3/4 of a pump and a damp beauty blender, or I'll do half a pump of the foundation and half a pump of her Lock-It primer, mix it together and use a brush. This foundation lasts me forever. I can actually get pretty medium coverage with a skin like finish. It's also important to use the right primer underneath it and take care of your skin. Because no matter what foundation you use, if you're not taking care of your skin properly, no foundation will sit right on top. I've personally never had a problem with this foundation being cakey although I do realize not everything works for everyone. I just think it's often lost on people that you can't use different products the same way all the time. Some foundations are better with a sponge, some with a brush, some with your fingers, you might need more of one product and less of another but I feel like people just immediately go ham on something without taking formulas into account. Even "beauty gurus" do this and give products bad reviews and you'll see the comment section littered with people telling the "guru" that they did not use the product properly or how it was intended. It just sucks because then, products get bad reputations for no reason.

Marissa i agree. i use Jose Maran vibrancy foundation. i use a primer under it . mally works best with this foundation. i can use a beauty blender or my fingers . i only use one pump . i see alot of you tubers that use 2 pumps and i am thinking why . i am 53 and Jose is a full coverage foundation. then they say it cakes . on my opinion if you use 2 pumps its going to cake and crease. i am still on the hunt for a bb cream. IT cosmetics turns orange and finds evrry line or wrinkle i have . my pic is only 2 years old lol

wendy woo I personally use either the Hourglass Mineral Veil or the KVD Lock-It Hydrating primer. In my experience, if you have drier skin, a hydrating primer will work the best under her foundation. Or, if you want less coverage (more like a BB cream) you can mix a half pump of her Hydrating primer and a half pump of her foundation together :) s

This video would have been more helpful if you gave a bit more info about each foundation - such as what skin types would most benefit, which look good on mature skin. I'm 60; I just bought the Kevyn Aucoin Etheralist foundation and love it, as I do Urban Decay Naked skin. More info please!! Foundation is so important but not if looks heavy or unforgiving; we're not all 21 with flawless skin :-) xo

I agree, I love the formula but the shades are too orange for me. Even the neutral and pink undertone shades look off on me since I have yellow undertones.

Same here ladies, oxidizes as hell and working with it is a nightmare! I cant use anything under it and have to work superfast with brush, cant use my beauty blender. The makeup also makes all my pores and dry places to stand out...gonna finish the bottle, but its a huge disappointment.

Martina Gold you should try to apply mac's strobe cream under it and then apply your foundation right on top of it while the cream is still wet. it worked wonders for me even though I have combination skin

All Nighter is AMAZING but it's just far too orange. It's one of my favorite foundations I've ever used but they just oxidize so bad and aren't light enough for my skin.

I love how the Make Up for ever HD foundation looked on me, but it oxidized after about 4 hours of wear and turned orange and then after a few wears I broke out in the worst cystic acne ever and still does even when I wash my face thoroughly before going to bed

I've tried several foundations and have always come back to Estee Lauder's Double Wear. For a high end foundation the price is reasonable and it stays on me a whole day. I have very oily skin and just need to touch up a couple of times during my 8 hour work day which for me isn't so bad. I also use their matte primer. Double Wear comes in a good variety of colors too.

I have dry skin as well. I stay away from matte foundations and use a hydrating primer (Smashbox Hydrating Primer or Too Faced Hangover primer). The hourglass stick and Too Faced Born This Way are my current go-tos.
