You are the only person I have seen on KZbin with my skin type! People don’t believe me when I tell them that I have 0 oil and that my T-zone is the worst, driest part of my face! I also have very sensitive skin and the only drugstore foundation I have ever been able to wear is the L’Oreal Infallible Glow foundation. It doesn’t have the staying power of the Fenty (my fav) but it works for about 8-9 hours. Thank you for being my go to reviewer for all things Sahara desert friendly!

My hands-down holy grail foundation is Lancome Absolu Bx. I have dry skin all year round but worse in the winter. And this bad boy holds up! This lasts for hours! I went into NYC during the holidays and this wore beautifully as I walked around the city in the blustery cold. When I wear it my skin feels supple and not dry. It states that it can be used by all skin types but I know for me I love it! It is also the first foundation that was a perfect match for me! I wear Absolute Pearl 130 C. I highly recommend this one!

One drugstore foundation that I finally found works for me (I have sensitive acne-prone/post-accutane skin too. Not super dry, but normal to dry now) is Milani's Conceal and Perfect 2-in-1 foundation. It has no irritants like alcohol or fragrances of any kind, has a natural finish that looks like skin instead of looking heavy, has solid medium-to-full coverage, is water-resistant, and they expanded their online shade range to 45 shades. And its $9.99 so for me its a winner!

I am so glad I found this video, because I have been trying to find a foundation for years that would work for my severely dry skin, and have yet to do so. I have crazy dry skin that flakes and creases so I've always had a hard time finding anything that actually works without showing off every dry patch. I recently started using e.l.f's BB cream and OMG not only does it cover but also hydrates, it's glowy and I love it. The only down side is you need to touch up after 6-8 hours depending on what is going on. Thanks for giving me great recommendations and excited to try some of them.

It's a BB cream SPF 20 foundation. Their camo concealer is great as well but the other works best for me, it's not too heavy and doesn't wear like a typical foundation but it's what it's technically called. Hope that helps.

I know I'm late to this dry skin party - but my favorite drugstore foundation at the moment (I don't have particularly sensitive skin but OMG DRYYYY) is Maybelline Dream Urban Cover. It's not FULL full coverage, but it's up there - and it's so hydrating that I can't use oil (which I frequently use) under it. It's my favorite drugstore foundation to wear when I want to look like I have naturally, even, pretty skin. Can't wait to try some of these, I don't have a high end rec honestly. I have super dry, sensitive, red skin (and by dry I mean I wake up every morning and my entire t-zone is completely cracked and flaky). I do a specialised 15 step skin care routine every morning and night.... and afterward (If I have to wear make up) this foundation is the ONLY foundation I will use after spending in the thousands of dollars trying to find a foundation that will work. It’s light-medium coverage but it’s buildable, it lasts all day, it goes on evenly regardless of which tool you use to apply it, it doesn’t stick to dry patches.. the list goes on. I’m not even a make enthusiast, all I wanted is a good foundation and this foundation is the holy grail if you have dry, sensitive skin.

Guideline: Go Fragrance free Go Basic (less products the better) Small Ingredient lists No active ingredients No masks or makeup wipes Try washable/reusable makeup erasers Try washable/reusable cotton cloths/rounds Get a fragrance free or mild/sensitive laundry soap Product recommendation: Krave Beauty ‘Great Barrier Relief’ Serum (Great for Spot treating eczema patches) Hope this helps!

I’ve tried then PF and they were really nice, just couldn’t get them to set with wearing a mask smeared them awful although i absolutely loved the feel and how my skin looked. I agree, I really love the Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere foundation, it's gorgeous. Everyone I wear it I have the best makeup day. Lately, I've been mixing my foundations, lol. My favorite is Nudestix tinted cover and CYO. I like the CYO, but it's just a bit too heavy, so the Nudestix thins it out so nicely. I love the Nudestix alone, also love the Mac Waterweight foundation, lol. Saw it at Ulta browsing a couple of months ago and decided to try it. I really love it. I am so glad to find someone else with hyper dry skin! I grew up in Puerto Rico with high levels of humidity 24/7 and even then I had dry skin. As my dermatologists have explained "dry skin means your body isn't producing enough of it's on oils to reach the outmost layer of the dermis" but living in NYC I now also get dehydrated (not enough water is in the top layers of your skin) skin half of the year. I too have EXTRA dry skin in the T-Zone so I am glad to see someone else with this issue. I was looked at so skeptically I have gotten to the point of reading studies about ingredients to be as informed as possible. I've always had sensitive skin, now I have eczema around my eyes, eyelids, lash lines, and brows as well as around my mouth so I HAVE to be very careful about ingredients. Finding foundations without SPF and/or essential oils has become an issue (I am allergic to chemical SPF to the point of it wrecking my skin barrier and causing eczema flares). So, mid-point to high-end foundations are the only way I can go. I have to say that for myself, I used the Armani Luminous Silk after they took out the spf but it has dried the crap out of me! My current foundation is the MUFE HD with the Smashbox Primer Oil underneath. I've been hesitant to try the reboot because of the fragrance but may need to ask for a sample. I also have desert dry skin and break out easily, my all time favourite the smashbox studio skin. Its a medium-full coverage and you can really customize the finish. I can use light primers to get a natural/matte finish or I can lather my face with oil and get a glowy finish. It also lasts ALL DAY

I have your EXACT SAME skin color/tone/issues!!! Sahara desert dry CRAZY sensitive rosácea over here!! My FAV FAV for YEARS is the bare minerals complexion rescue tinted hydrating gel cream!!! Sooo dewy and never clings to my (many) dry patches and doesn’t settle into lines. This is my HOLY GRAIL for light/medium coverage. I never wear drugstore foundation but I recently tried maybelline fit me! Dewy/smooth and WOW!! First drug store foundation that I LOVE. Medium coverage, buildable, beautifully dewy! Another drugstore one I am loving ever since they discontinued my beloved body shop BB cream is physicians formula super BB. For days I’m just going to be at home or at the gym or something it’s perfect! For full coverage I do like it cosmetics your skin but better full coverage cc cream, but as you have mentioned if I apply too much it will cling to dry patches but overall I really like it it’s very buildable! I just started using the IT cosmetics bye bye redness for my rosacea/concealer and love it!!!

I have Sahara desert dry skin, my favorites are Missha in #13 which is impossible to find, MUFE Reboot in Y218 , Lumene Universal tint, L'Oreal infallible matte. I own Estee lauder Hydda Futurist but don't get the hype everyone else does regarding dry skin compatibility,same with the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush - maybe they're just too heavy for my skin ? I use Mac Primer Stick on top of my lengthy skincare hydrating routine and I don't use powders I use creams for blush and bronze, then setting spray on a sponge to try and melt the products together. I often still end up with pore caking regardless of how little of the foundation product I use ..so it's really frustrating. I completely get it . I think I've found my tribe here!!

I use this makeup that goes on white, blend it in with your brush or sponge it's the best it blends into your skin colour looks fantastic and natural

I have normal to dry and it seems anytime I put on foundation it dries me out.. I do moisturize beforehand and just can’t seem to find the right foundation. Super excited to try some of these!

I truly feel like you are a (much) younger version of me! I have such dry skin, it’s such a struggle and I have never been able to find foundation that lasted or didn’t make me look like a dry ghost. And I live In Houston also so I completely relate to our climate here making a difference in how these wear. I just bought the Laura mercier one and also just got the Estée Lauder futurist one that I do like.

Try revlon colorstay for oily skin types for a drugstore option. My skin is like yours and it works well on my skin altough its for oily skin types. Doesnt cause breakout.

My skin is behaving during this quarantine, I think my face is happy being at home! My favorite full coverage foundation is Tom Ford's Waterproof foundation/concealer in the tube. It makes my skin look so pretty and perfect and I don't need to powder it. Really, if your foundation won't make your skin look perfect why bother?

This is so true. These days i wonder why i even have lightweight foundation. Everytime i put it on it's like i have nothing on. same, i have the driest skin known to man like jesus christ, there’s no oil on my face whatsoever even in the summertime. I’ve been wearing the fit me dewy foundation for 2yrs and honestly it’s a hit or miss. It’s honestly frustrating. I have a love/hate relationship with it. Esp this year my skin has gotten significantly dryer. My T-Zone is the absolute worse especially underneath my eyes and around my mouth and nose. I’ve been debating really hard on a new foundation and concealer. So thank you for this video!

Michelle UK yes actually! I consistently drink water throughout the day, and eat my greens n protein all that good stuff. My skins always been like this sadly. I think it’s just genetic. Cuz i take extra proper care of my skin. It’s either fine or super dry lol. But most of the time it’s manageable.

My skin also has 0 oils & I describe my skin exactly like you. My favs currently are Shiesido glow, Laura Mercier radiance/luminous Hourglass tinted moisturizer, Armani silk & Nars radiant. I have changed the way I apply any of these, i add 2 drops of oil & apply with my fingers. I found this just looks best as i sheer it out.
