Very interesting. Rosie and I travelled the area way back with our two children and a tent camper. Later on, we travelled the same area with our grandchildren and a fifth wheel. As a veteran I was invited to help fold the flag at Mt Rushmore and the grandsons got a kick out of that. Now they are all grown up and it's me and Rosie travelling the country. Stay safe guys!

Great info! We’re heading to SD in the late summer, so this is very timely. We travel in a Class B (20’ Ram Promaster), so I particularly like it when you note spots that might be good for small rigs. Thank you!!!

Thanks Kyle, always enjoy your reviews. It would be helpful to know the elevation of these sites.
@thewanderingshores6 ай бұрын
Wayne, thanks for the suggestion. I'll make sure I start putting that in my campsite reviews. The sites along North Pole road are right around 6,800 ft in elevation. The one up on lime Rock I believe is close to 7,500. And spar spring is 5500. Sorry I forgot to add that but I'll make sure I start including that moving forward

@@thewanderingshores thanks! We've been full-time RVing for four and a half years now, too, but mostly just boondock in the winter (Quartzsite, Yuma). We've boondocked other places but we have a 37' motorhome. How was cell service in these spots?
@thewanderingshores3 ай бұрын
I can only speak to the area where we stayed and since we were down in that valley area are cell service was pretty much non-existent, however, our friends were right at the top of the hill from us and had really strong Verizon and AT&t if I remember correctly.
