*Man, you carry so many useful videos and don’t waste time to tell us information. I like how you don’t spend 10 minutes telling us to sub or like. 🏆🎥 Just give us the info we are after.*

Going to disagree with recommendation on primer. I did some recording with this on GarageBand, adding a few tracks to a song. Today. I listen to my track and ALL PRIMER recordings are gone, as in dead silent. Shows recording there but no sound. The primer window shows no input on any of the windows. This means I lost my ideas as well as the sound preset I was using. There’s a reason it’s free. It’s unreliable. never seen a music app actually destroy my recordings before. Stay far far away from PRIMER.

My favorite iPhone synths are Synth One, Synthmaser One, and Bent FM Lite. There's also two iPhone synths that I absolutely love called, "NoiseMaschine", and "Noise Synth". Sadly, those two synth developers completely missed the boat when it comes for developing their applications to be compatable with Garageband or other iPhone DAWS. They're just stand-alone synths not intended to be used in a DAW. They're examples of amazingly great synths that the developers never really thought about integration with DAWS, and sadly they seem to have been almost immediately abandoned by the developers. There's so many great iPhone apps that the developers just stick up and then immediately abandon the moment they're posted on the store. These synths would be next level if the devs just simply added support for integration into Garageband or other iOS DAWS.

Thank you very much for this guide! Coul dI ask you what type of iPad are you using for the Numa Player? I'm asking because there is a 4GB RAM requirement on their page and you recommend iPad 9th gen 10.2 which has only 3GB.

I have a video idea for you if you'd like to run with it: What are the best synths, effects and plugins which are available (and stable!) on both iOS/iPadOS and macOS? For example, Moog AUv3/AU synths work on both mobile and desktop and are spectacular.
@masonsmultiprojectsmd4876 Жыл бұрын
It’s a pity that there is no church organ AUV3 instruments out there, problem is, just to sample one of the things is rare as hell, and to get those samples, you have to pay a hefty price for the sampling service alone. That’s annoying as hell, since I don’t have the money to spare.

numa pianos are better than grand piano... am i missing something? does it use way less dsp?
@jamietopolski4019 Жыл бұрын
Burp and Fart piano really "cuts through the mix" if you add some chamber reverb and a slapback delay. Robert Moog is turning in his grave.

Hey Patrick! What iOS synth app do you recommend that has the basics that I can build from? I am learning synthesis with Syntorial, so would like to find an iOS synth (especially for iPad) that isn't too complex or busy, but has the essential parameters for subtractive synthesis. Also, should be easy on the eyes! What say you? Thanks!

Can we use two sounds (splitting) the midi inputs for different key zones/ranges in any of these apps? E.g. from bottom to middle C have a bass sound, and from middle C and higher have a piano sound.
@tonycorlett2099 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I know you can do that in Numa Player. The other apps, I don’t know.
@demosongsheetmusic Жыл бұрын
@@tonycorlett2099 Thank you, it does have it! Although there is no bass sound in the Numa player, the app is really packed with features.
@partymarty6969 Жыл бұрын
I haven’t experimented with this myself but I heard if you set different midi channels for your controllers you can split em that way.
@demosongsheetmusic Жыл бұрын
@@partymarty6969 yes, but the question is if some of these apps can simultaneously accept signals on two different channels.
@partymarty6969 Жыл бұрын
@@demosongsheetmusicif that’s your question, try it out. every app is different.
