You should add corn extract and minced onions for the hushpuppies.
@hulkinbrent637611 күн бұрын
I was thinking onion powder or something
@QueenBamBEE327243 күн бұрын
I was definitely thinking the onion, as that’s the common flavor here in the south (Tennessee) where I live. Although: I’m not a big fan of a lot of onion, so this way that they made would be good to me.
@jholcomb953217 күн бұрын
Add a pinch of nutmeg or mace in the "donut holes", as that's the spice used in real donuts. Minced chives in the hush puppies would give them an little onion flavor like real hush puppies have, and maybe a drop of sweet corn flavor.

So seriously, the Dash 4 Mini Waffle maker was a total game changer for me. I almost threw out the recipe because it stuck EVERY time in my old waffle maker. But then on the advice of Emily and Sarah, I bought the Dash 4 Mini Waffle maker, and it NEVER sticks. So totally worth every penny I spent for it! Thanks Keto Twins!

I have a Dash waffle maker too. I've never had a problem getting waffles out. I love your chaffle recipe. I've made it with all sorts of hard cheeses and seasonings. Everyone loves them. Although, I don't cook mine as long as you do. So, they're not as dark. We actually have them to snack on. They're so good. However, to use as a bun, you do need to cook them as long as you do for the ultimate crispness.

@@susanfrenette3400 I do them in the air fryer every time. Timings depend on the size I make but usually start at 6 mins on 180 then turn and do another 6 mins. We have both in America, shoes and food,the shoe is very comfortable. The food is a fried ball of yellow cornmeal,flour,sugar and eggs,plus a few other ingredients, like salt and baking soda and either butter milk or regular milk…. That was my gramma’s recipe… But My grandma told me when I was quite young,that they are called “ Hushpuppies”, because you give the first one or two to the pup to keep them from begging , (Quiet!🤐😂) …and she said “Also hungry 😂❤children”)…. ….Sometimes, she would take that recipe (with a bit more milk,), pour it in cast iron pan( which I proudly still own at 71) in bacon drippings,and call those corn cakes. Top them with butter and syrup, or even gravy also from the drippings of sausage or bacon and even drippings from fried chicken. Happy New Year! 🎉
