Dr. Rowe shows the best full back stretching exercises that can be done daily, AT HOME , and don't require any special equipment.
These back stretches and exercises will focus on DYNAMIC movements to help loosen up muscle tightness, spinal joint stiffness, and fix achy pain throughout the whole back.
They're safe, EFFECTIVE, and are going to target the main muscle group of the upper, middle, and lower back. That way you can get a full back stretch in the least amount of time possible!
What we're going to target:
Upper back
Rhomboid muscles (middle back between the shoulder blades)
Quadratus lumborum (QL) muscle
Lower back
Glute, buttock, and piriformis muscles
Hips and hip flexors

Thx Doc! Love the stretches! Would u do a video on hip impingement syndrome. In particular, the stretch at 5:00, i don't feel any stretch in the lower back bec of the impingement in the hip inhibiting the full range of motion to bring the knee to the other side of the hip.

I love this! I’ve suffered from neck and back pain for years and have seen innumerable physio’s, chiropractors and alternative therapies and not one of them showed me any of these stretches. I can feel them working and just love when I get that pop! Thank you so much for making and sharing these wonderful videos.

I've been hitting the gym hard the past 6 weeks and the middle of my back has really stiffened up. I've been doing the standard cat and dog movements without much relief. The wall and chair streches relieved almost of my tightness. Thank you sir. I liked and subscribed. Great content

I have had chronic back pain for a year and have been doing chiropractic care and daily stretching/muscle stretching. Come to realize it gets worse with cold, so winter has been killing me. I was looking for a new routine. This saved me so much pain, I teared up today after days of terrible pain. Thank you so much.

The rhomboids/pectorals stretch looks like it feels great! There are a lot of really good stretches, in this one, especially the ones using the folding chair at the end.

The relief you get from the first one is unreal.. I recommend doing this in a warm room to avoid injuries, muscles also tend to stretch more when your body is warm. But I give this many credit, these stretches are very efficient

During finals I get incredibly stress and my back gets super tense. I tried burning hot towels, epsom salt and finger massages. But THIS was so relieving and almost scary hearing my back pop so much! I cried tears of relief 🥲 THANKYOU

It works !! I get really bad muscular back pain only at night. It wakes me where it’s so painful and in the morning it’s so bad that I have to get out of bed for it to be ok again. I’ve been doing these exercises for the last few days and my backs been SO MUCH better. These exercises I can really feel my back pulling which is great! I knew when I was doing them that it may help.. I just can’t believe how much it’s helped ! Thank you!!

@@DrRowe I have really tight hip flexors causing my hips tilt. A physiotherapist gave me exercises some years ago, but I can’t remember the best ones. Can you recommend some good stretches please? Take it to the next level, please!

Great video!!! Your content is excellent .. the contents and the presentation are great. Your illustration is very good and simple.. this is one of those parts of the body that is very much impacted with prolong sitting. And specially now a days everyone working from home.. the posture is in turmoil... I would suggest doing a comprehensive video suggesting whole body daily stretch to stay fit and alert during Corona times and possibly the future of work.. i.e. desk bound woke from home ... Thank you for your contribution.. 👍👏

Dude, thank you soooooo much for these and all the other exercises. They really help. My problem is I tend to go to far and hurt myself lol. I'll get it eventually. I've been told I'm very flexible for a guy, but don't have the muscle to balance it all out, hence the reason I keep getting injured. 😊

Hey, I did your streching today and I will keep doing it for like 2 weeks and see if there will be a nice improvement. I am having problems with stuff back and neck for a while, i can't do many things when I wake up and it slowly improves during the day, but not fully. Sometimes I can't sleep well either, because of it. While doing some of the excerces I even feel pain in my check, which happens sometimes with the stiffness, when i push my check it hurts. So I guess I have a lot of work to do to get better. I think all started more than year ago and it was getting only worse. A x-ray of my back and neck didn't show up much, it was pretty much all okay, so I was looking for long time to find out what can fix it, chiropactor didn't do much of a difference either, so this is my new hope. Thank you for all the videos and if you can't help me, then nothing can. Definitely felt a lot of pressure on my upper and lower back after these, so hopefully it will start relieving my pain.

Have you been working out or something? You look great! So, I kinda fell/slid down my front steps the other day, no major injuries thankfully but I've got a few really ticked off muscles in my shoulders and back. That first stretch totally released that tension! I do that one without reaching back a few times a day and it helped some, but adding that reach really helped release around my shoulders.
