Im not a big fan of Zombie games, but I gave this a try and it was just awesome, the hoard moments always had me on the edge of my seat!

I avoided it for years cuz ppl said it was a lame Last of Us ripoff...but I finally gave it a try when it was a free PSN game and enjoyed it very much. It does have...issues, but it's a pretty fun game with lots of unique elements. I loved that my bike needed gas, so whenever I wanted to travel somewhere l had to plan my route accordingly. Lord knows you don't wanna get stranded bike-less in some of these locations. It happened to me early on in my run and it was a nightmare making it back to my base on foot 😂

Completely underrated title. I played Days Gone on my PS4 when it was released and was totally immersed. Still one of my favorite games.

we have been trying to get them to make a sequel for years. i played this on day 1! it got bad reviews by ign and a few other places that didn’t even play it fully, and that torched its rep early on. and it was tainted and nobody played it till later because of the false bad reviews. so they tanked any chance of a sequel. we probably won’t get a sequel now.

It's pretty weird that lots of people are making their mind on specific games based on reviews, which essentially is the opinions of other people. I never read reviews, I wait until a full gameplay with no commentary appears on KZbin, then watch random 5 minutes of it and see for myself if it's something I like or not.

I never understood why most people find Days Gone to be a "decent game" or "not a bad game", or just "OK". This is the absolute best game I ever played, it's 10/10. Or at least 9/10 in case you don't believe perfection exists. My ONLY complaint is that the radio transmissions are happening randomly when you are in the wild, often taking place at the same time when you are sneaking around enemies or you are about to go into battle. Enemies never hear your radio so that's not much of a problem, but it hurts the immersion a little. Everything else in the game is perfect.

After I finished the main story I went around clearing out all the nests and hordes. After you do that an option appears in the menu to reset them, so the fun never has to end!

I played through this game in 2023 despite having the game sit on my shelf for almost 3 years. I love games where you feel like you can take your time, and are forced to make conscious decisions about what you should do. The replay value is off the charts due to its mechanics, and world. The acting is also great and very believable. It’s a game that I would have expected to not work nearly as well as it does in reality. Maybe that’s why it took me so long to finally play through it. Of course, once I got into the game, I couldn’t put it down.

Glad you liked it ! I’ve only played it about 10 times lol. When I first finished it I thought I can’t wait for the sequel. Then absolutely gutted when I found out that people/critics/ had down voted this and because of that Sony has not green lit a sequel . I mean WTF ?

First off ... 100% correct !!! Truly amazing game. Second , I also got the platinum. For me, the hardest trophy was, Burnout Apocalypse. I had to try over and over to get that damn trophy. Probably time for a second playthrough. Funny thing is, I tend to enjoy a game even more, the second time around.

My favorite game as well (I'm on PC)... Just finished my second complete play through on Hard+ after resetting the hordes and ambush camps just to practice killing hordes after my first playthrough. Music is killer as well. Love the theme song.

Days Gone is also one of the rare games I've platinumed due to its relative ease. I definitely agree that they should have made a sequel a long time ago. Ghost of Tsushima is also a pretty doable platinum.

Congrats on the platinum! They get addictive! I started this game, absolutely loved it then for some reason stopped playing and when I went back to it I had a hoard after me, forgot the controls, got mauled and turned it off 😅 it's on my list of games to go back to!!

Sony rejected the pitch for the sequel which was a shame. I had the game sitting on my shelf the past few years and when i got my ps5 i played a bit of it but left it, i was off work after surgery and decided to play it after a mate kept telling me to. I put 113 hrs into it and also platinumed it, not my first but the other ones i got were from the telltale walking dead ganes which give you a platinum just for finishing so i count days gone as my first proper platinum 👍

It makes no sense for a game that has sold 9 million copies to not get a sequel or some form of DLC. This is the best game I have played on Sony in so long. Fans are hoping for a sequel but its not going to happen. 😢

my complain in days gone is it is easy even in survival2 (not a new game+) and unbalance in many things story is good i just hate sarah aside from that everything is so good im a strategy type of gamer but this action horror game made me play the story three times

Good stuff man! I am just getting into this. But I am loving it. I just started Crysis 1 remastered, but this might be the next game I try to go and finish/Platinum. I have around 16 platinum trophies, but I usually only get them for the games that I absolutely love, even if they are super difficult.

I played it to bits a few months after release, but it was really hard done by, by journalists with an agenda. Fantastic game, but my only slight peeve, its world was a bit bereft of interesting locations. Had they have structured it like the Commonwealth from Fallout 4, it would have been el perfecto. As for sequel, John Garvin (director of Days Gone) said it’s never happening because the biased journos trashed Days Gone, and sales were badly affected. I can’t say I blame the guy after all the hard work he and his team at Bend put in.

Days Gone is criminally underrated and IGN purposely sabotage this game. It was never about sales. They literally said they hated Deacon because he’s a scruffy straight white male with a gun. Sony waste money On horizon zero interest, and Concord But it won’t give us the Days Gone Trilogy, we were promised? Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima are PlayStation best exclusives and the most deserving of sequels imo

I had never left a game, I always finish them but this one was the exception and now recently I forced myself to finish it and it was very boring.
