I got my Display for about a year now - not missing the vent so far - but I love to finally be able to see water temp, oil temp and oil pressure in my E90 LCI FYI - not sure on the F-Series cars but if you want to diagnose the car via OBD - you need to lock the Display too - otherwise it will block the connection

So this does work on e-series? Same install process? i.e. meaning the canbus tap in is in the passenger footwell?

@bimmerboi_hutch yes same process. Not sure of the wire colors but they have an install manual as well for other cars and gen’s.

@@bimmerboi_hutchthe E-Series module has a different bezel and slightly smaller Screen - 3,5" vs 3.2" but install is like you mentioned - PT-can and power from the JBBF and you are golden install manual incl. the pins you need to manipulate it is on the ak-motion homepage downloadable

Does the heat and a/c get redirect or does it just blast against the back of the gauge?

Since the vent is closed, it just gets redirected to the other vents. I actually noticed it pushed more air to the passenger side vent, which is great since it can easily be felt when directed towards the driver.

Awesome and thank you very much for sharing it! I'm installing my AK Motion NeXtgen in a week on my OG N55 from 2018! Would it be the same approach or similar to yours? Since the pin 18 and 19 disconnect etc.

I can’t confirm if it’ll be exactly the same pins and colors but it should at least point you in the right spot.

Yes. The live data shows coolant temp, oil temp, IAT, exhaust temp, and oil pressure.

What you get for the money of this far surpasses any option on the market. I’m not doing either of those either, but being able to monitor live data parameters and know what’s going on at all times is key to a successful and trouble feee ownership. May not be for everyone, but I assure you it’s absolutely worth it.

The features are cool for sure but for me I let the car warm up and these cars have so much tech that if something goes wrong it’ll put it in safe mode . I’m not beating on the car it’s my daily not a race car but hope you enjoy it love the videos keep putting that great content out 💪💪

I don’t believe it’s a current option to view but I’m sure it can be shown in the screen once a flex kit is installed and Alex sends an update.

Since the vent is closed off, it just pushes the air to the passenger vent, which you can angle towards the driver. Same amount of air into the cabin as before.

Can easily do this with the passenger side vent. Aim it towards you and you can feel it no problem. I confirmed this the other day.
