That's great that there are still Chinese take-out spots doing basic Cantonese/American 'Hood' style food. Great basic dishes, like Egg food young, Lo mein noodles, Fried Chicken wings, General Tao's Chicken( which was by-the-way invented by a Chinese restaurant in the USA & is NOT from China), large portions, great prices & super people! JL, I love the dark meat also in the General Tao's Chicken! I will put Mr. Chen's on my to-go list, it's convenient!

Man, I miss Hood Chinese restaurants. They have good Chinese food restaurants all over here in Hawaii, but it's all family style menus. You can't get a personal order over here, no. You got to order $30-$50 worth of food and eat it little by little, hoping that it don't go bad. And then it's just something about the Hood Chinese food that got that taste that draw you back for more.

I mean the best fried rice, getting a whole chicken wing and really good Egg Foo Young. In NYC they serve BBQ pork fried rice and when I moved to AZ I noticed the pork fried rice didn't taste the same. It was because it was not BBQ pork.
