I'd also recommend a Poison Exploit + affinity build for Gold Rathian melee weapons. There are several ways to go about it, but if you missed out on the Carnival chest, you can make this build when she comes back: (All are at G8 minimum) Gold Rathian weapon (Poison Exploit 2) Coral Pukei head (Weakness Exploit 2 + Lock-On) Odogaron chest (Critical Eye 2) Gold Rathian arms (Poison Exploit 2) Pink Rathian waist (Critical Eye 2) Gold Rathian legs (Poison Exploit 1 + Poison Attack 1) This nets you - with a G8 Rathian weapon - Poison Exploit 5, a little extra Poison buildup, 55% affinity on non-weakspots, and 80% affinity on weakspots, all without a single Driftmeld. At G10 and with one Critical Eye and Weakness Exploit meld, you're hitting 70% affinity normally and 100% affinity on weak spots! If you DO have the Carnival chest AND the Lunar New Year mask, you could also swap out the Coral Pukei head and Odogaron chest for two ranks in Critical Boost and replace the lost Weakness Exploit with two of those melds for even more damage. If you don't, you can swap out the Pink Rathian waist for the Azure Rathalos one instead for one rank of Critical Boost, and add two extra Critical Eye melds instead. Overall, this build might be better than the Resuscitate build for weapons that needs to position more easily. You have to remember that even with Bubbly Dance 3, you still slide around a lot when bubbled up, and the damage boost from Resuscitate might not be worth the traction loss.

It’s kinda unfair considering that any super bow (except for Teostra in most scenarios) will beat blos if you’re using their elemental weakness. I do plan on making a video though to compare the current super weapon meta.

The Gold Rathian Hunting Horn (whenever it comes) will be fire and will probably have poison exploit like the bow despite not being a poison weapon. I still kinda want to save for it.

I'm starting to try out different weapons and have found a few others that I like 1 of which is the Diablos bow (I know you recommend the Black Diablos bow for Beginners) but I didn't do enough work towards the Black Diablos bow and just forged the regular Diablos bow just to experiment with along with a few other weapons and so far I like the Diablos bow I know it's not the Black Diablos bow but so far it's been easy to use I've equipped it for a few hunts mostly using it in hunts with small monsters and somewhat low level hunts I've even used it in a group hunt possibly I've only done 1 group hunt today as I'm leaving this comment and it was a group hunt while I was on my break at work and it's kinda late so I'm trying more accessible weapons other than my grade 6 event weapon to see what other weapons I might end up 1 day building and so far I think the Diablos bow might be 1 I invest in a build for

The Diablos Bow isnt a great option. Diablos isnt the easiest to find and you likely dont have a full Focus 5 build first. Don't build a bunch of things until you get to 8 stars. Your going to waste a lot of resources.

@KINGOFCHARMANDERS ok thanks I've switched back to my event weapon I almost have a full basic bow build I only need a couple of things leveled up I also have run out of storage space a few times because I'm not forging or upgrading a bunch of stuff so I'm trying to keep my storage from getting full again it's not just the Diablos bow I've got I've got others as well they just aren't as high grade as it is the basic bow build I'm working on is the focus build because I've invested so much in my Pukie-Pukie armor would it just be easier to just clean out my storage every once in awhile so I don't run out of storage until I reach 8 star rank monsters instead of working on full builds and forging stuff

And that was a 6.1 weapon slaying a 9* monster... nice, even though it was Basarios. Also, I think the Black Diablos Bow might be outdated very soon. How soon do you think until the next insane Raw Damage Bow comes out? In addition, do you think it will come from parts of another Diablos? Like how the Silver Rathalos succeeded the Rathalos? Maybe an Azure or Silver Diablos?

There’s nothing even close to guest that blos will be outdated soon LOL. They know what they’re doing. It’s even on the one year anniversary photo with a blos hunter having a blos bow behind them. Black diablos bow even if something else does come out will never be outdated. Its been the undisputed meta for over a year. I’m in favor of melee weapons getting a super weapon treatment rather than see another bow take over.

The only other variant of Diablos will be Bloodbath Diablos, or the next monster that MIGHT rival BBlos weapon will be Nargacuga and its variant, or maybe Tigrex as well

@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS Ok. I just figured due to the elemental crit that it would be a little bit less meta since elemental weapons are now a little stronger. I also am not sure on the difference in strength between the Black Diablos bow and these new elemental builds. Maybe they will release a raw crit buff on equipment as well soon?

That builds easy. Its just Azure Rath Helm Rajang Coil and all the other pieces with Teostra gear for Teostra Blastpowder.

@@KINGOFCHARMANDERS i thought so too, but then teostra arm skills are catered for GL, im thinking to swap to magna arm for blast attack 2 instead. So i can get TB 2 and Blast 2, rivalling with TB 3 and Blast 0 with 3 teostra equipment. What say you sir?

That works! TB 2 works just fine as well. You’ll be hard pressed to get more blasts even with TB3 just because of how status gets harder to inflict overtime now.
