I started playing golf 3 months ago. I’ve been watching your YT content for the past 2 or so months. I’ve had nothing but compliments from my golfing buddies and you deserve at least 85% of the credit 😂 From this golf-newbie, I just wanna say thank you so SO much! ⛳️

Absolutely spot on Mark. For years I’ve been starting the swing from a static position. Hopeless. Then I added this exact same move two months ago. Timing, tempo, transition, loading etc. Everything better. Night and day. Golf is played better with an athletic movement from the start of the swing. I’ve tried quite a few, from bumping my knees forward to a full Matt Wolf. For me, the movement you’ve shown is the best as it incorporates weight shift and turn into the start of the swing. Really great tip.

Mark, you are at your best whilst teaching. Been watching since the "old squeaky floorboards days" when you were freezing in that open air hitting bay. I keep watching--and I still want to play every course with the name "Royal" in it. Time and tide... ;>) Cheers!

Wow, thanks!

Hey Mark , just thought I'd update, I used the trick today on the course and my drives were straighter and longer, I nailed all but 2 of my iron shots and as a first year golfer I shot a 44 on a round of 9. This is a fantastic tip! Thank you!❤❤

Awesome! Thank you!

Yeah, this makes sense as it forces the backswing to be dynamic which in turn gives a good chance of good sequence until the ball is in the air.

My golf has greatly improved by watching your videos. My playing buddies have also mentioned my game improvement. But, they want to know where the hell I developed the accent!

Is this kinda in a roundabout way what Matthew Wolff does? Once this storm passes I will be on the course trying it. Thanks as always Mark 🙌🏻

Yes, it is!

Mark please post a link of where to buy this simulation 😊

I think that you should emphasize that the shoulders should be neutral at impact although the chest is open and the hips are more open.

This makes so much sense to me, some of my best shots I'm sure are due to a little shift forwards, but I don't often get the rhythm right on the way back down. Feels out of sync at times.
@MarkCrossfieldАй бұрын
Love it.

I'm getting low 90's atm, know there's a better more consistent golfer hidden away somewhere. I've recently learnt I stand to far away from the ball which I will apply next time. But this video may just be what I was looking for. Like I said some of my best hits are when I know I've done like a little sway (it seems to give me rhythm/tempo for arms and hips working together) this vid should help me with my lack of hip rotation. I do have a shoulder injury of sorts and I'm trying to build some sort of swing around it so I don't hurt more. I know set up is so important, so this vid may cut out all the things I'm doing wrong. (Want to get to the point I don't have to do a massive long checklist in my head whilst I'm stood over the ball) just get what you all call "the feels" and remember and repeat that feeling. Thanks for this video.(Gonna share this one on my FB) 👍

I can confirm this trick works for irons, I do it myself. Iron game has gotten better since according to my shot scope stats. Funny enough I never considered doing it for driver too. Weird how the human brain works. LOL. Thanks Mr Crossfield you've hit the mark for me (lame pun I know)

If you consider the mat you're standing on, plus your shoes, you're probably 1-1.5 inches above the ball. Does it feel any different?
@MarkCrossfieldАй бұрын
The mat is sunk in the ground. 👍

I had a coach who used this drill with me. We spent three or four lessons on it. It was the only time during the golf swing that I've ever completely missed the golf ball, over and over and over, and when I did hit the ball, it was on top of the ball. It was comical. The ball would go straight into the floor and straight up into the ceiling. Then it would ricochet all over the room. I was frustrated by this drill. The coach was mystified by the horrible results. We finally had to abandon it all together because it was only making my golf swing worse than it already was. 🙁

I swear you must be listening to my conversations or watching me play. Coming back from hip replacement and the few rounds I have played I feel like I stop the club at contact. Thanks for the video.
