You are THE MAN. Have never seen such straight to the point, concise golf drill videos. Thanks man!

It’s clear you love what you are doing! It makes you an excellent teacher!! The only think I worry about is newer players working hard on this and it developing into the dreaded slide forward. Transfer the weight but rotate AROUND yourself!!

Dear Mr Short Game, kudos to you as you are only one of two golf pros that I have watched on KZbin that works from the feet up. Even when I discussed this bottom up principle to my offline golf pro, he looked at me with a blank look but I know I am onto something.

100%!!! No instructor ever showed me hip/leg/foot work. Once I learned it (on my own), it changed the game for me!! Great video!

Your videos rock. High handicap golfer who hasn’t played in ten years. I never hit my stiff flex, 9 degree good. Did this drill today, concentrated on get my but out of the way, to coil up and I was crushing pinnacle range balls, carry 260 so with premium balls this would get me around 300 with the roll. When I was in my 30s I only hit this driver around 250, just wasn’t generating enough club head speed for a stiff shaft w 9 degrees. Your channel is making golf fun again, Huge Thanks and I am confident I will finally figure out this game because of your channel.

Matt, I’ve had a problem slicing my driver. Watched this video, went to the driving range to work on my weight transfer, and then walked 9 holes. Shot a 35 because my drives were relatively straight (slight fade) and MUCH closer to greens. Thank you!!!

I think you gave me my missing Key. I've not yet hit 14 large buckets of balls but the few I've hit amazed me. Thanks for the info! You stated this was a driver-drill, but this works on my Irons also. I assume all my clubs would benefit from this.

I can attest to this. In my first year alone, I went from hitting pop fly's miles in the sky and only reaching 140 yards at most and scratching my head, to bombing 330 yard drives. Not 330 all the time but at least in a consistent range from 260-310 and not killing myself. I'm still learning and working on this... golf is a journey as he stated.

Another good tip I will take to the driving range. Your setup tip with driver and irons has already got me hitting the fairway better than ever before. Much better consistent contact close to center face instead of the heel. Receiving the shaft not grabbing it is another tip that has helped as well. Keep the great tips coming.

Great video, one thing that also helps is keeping that dorsiflexion, I’ve noticed when I walk I lose it when my legs start getting tired. Sometimes I forget and wonder why my swing went to crap all a sudden, I try to think of a skateboarder or surfer to remind me what position to be in.

Hi Mr sg Matt Fisher... u are god sent.. i've been consuming your videos religously for these past few weeks.. thank u for making this video.. and for the upcoming new series I have just started playing golf last few months with a coach n after ending the lessons i still have the problem of topping and slicing the ball.. n really ur videos do help me to overcome it by the way when pumping the left knee during the down swing.. is it possible to overbend it.. or do i just slightly transfer my weight to the left... and pump it a little...? Your feedback is very much appreciated... Thank you

Great video you are absolutely correct we all go full force at the top but never our bottom half. It's like when lifting weights get your chest and arms big but neglect our legs then have nothing to support that weight. Thanks because I'm guilty of this exact thing

Great video and it works....I felt a little out of control at first due to the club wobbling about on the pumps but hand/eye took over and I hit the ball solidly, not always straight or perfect but weight transfer was there each time. Only 13 more buckets to go...

Hi Mr Shortgame. Apart from the quality of teaching, advice and the image: the sound in your videos is very good. What kind of mic do you use? Is it a directional mic stuck on top of your camera? (surprises me, though, that there is hardly any ambient sound and volume stays quite equal regardless of whether you are closer or not to the camera), so is it a wireless lapel mic? But I don't see one on your shirt? I'd be interested as I not only wish to improve my golf but also the sound in my own channel videos.. Thanks

Matt, I have played for way too many years with this issue, and really think this drill tomorrow might be a trigger to me learning the move. It is so frustrating being able to hit perfect straight shots with everything, only thing is a 125 yard 7 iron and a 185 carry drive are no fun. I have watched the guy, Milo on the teeter/totter, but that pop up move for a old dude with a bunch of past surgeries was not appealing. Maybe this drill, can trigger it! Too watch something you have done wrong your whole life and see a fix you understand gives hope! I live in Spartanburg and have a Simulator, want to give me lessons?

Dear Matt, I have been following you for quite some time and your tips are really good! But with this drive tip for beginners I disagree because I think the most important thing about a drive (if you want to hit a draw, and certainly not a slice) is that you keep your right arm close to your body. I look forward to your opinion. Thanks for all the good tips and I will continue to follow you! Kind regards, Arjan

I think the answer again is "rotate". If you start thing "weight transfer" you may start to slide. You may get a lot of push shots. The biggest fault in the golf swing is poor or no rotation.
@sim25025 жыл бұрын
I agree, my exact problem. If you exaggerate your through rotation it makes for a much smoother swing and stops you hitting at the ball as your concentrating on after it. It sure helped my push shots..
