Perhaps the best goli baje I have ever tasted! And keeping it good company is also a delightful banana bun, more commonly referred to as the Mangalore Buns. There is also the story at Mitra Samaj about how the paper thin dosas originated from Mitra Samaj, and so in North India, most of the places serving south indian food are actually serving the typical Udupi style food.

As Mithra samaj is located near temple they don't use onion n garlic in their food preparation. It's authentic udupi Brahmins food. But there is no compromise with taste ... everything tastes it's best🥰 tq for covering such gem of eateries

I went to Udupi once and visited Mitra Samaj. I loved their food and the atmosphere around. Udupi people are very kind, humble and helpful. One should not miss buns, uppit avvalaki, bullet idle, goli baje, filter coffee, ghee dosa from Udupi. Udupi food and Udupi people both are amazing.

I was in Manipal and was searching best place to Dosa and found out that Mitra Samaj was rated high, reached there with my wife and we had amazing experience of Dosa, after few bites I went to the owner and said that Sambar is very authentic and also other items too. Simply the best... we just loved food here...

Their logo has got this old world charm to it. Temple complex is a different world. I have come across brilliant musicians. And then of course you have Mitra Samaj You get nice churmuri right opposite mitra samaj.

Hello Kripal, now I've to go to India just to visit my favourite hotel in my hometown Udupi..Mitra Samaj. Everytime I visit home, I do make a habit to eat from Morta Samaj, especially their Goli Baje and Bullet Idly. Also, seasonally they serve Mulka which I love. Did you happen to meet the waiter there who's been working there for a very very long time? I'm yet to watch the video but I'm sure I'm about to Love it with all my heart. Thank you Kripal❤️

I was in Udupi during 1969 to 1974 when I was studying in Christian High school, Udupi. Mitra Samaj was famous for its Golibaje even at that time. Whenever I go to Udupi, I will make it a point to visit Mitra Samaja.

I copy too. I never seen Mr. Amanna so excited before, his eyes are blazing with broad smile. I believe its the charm and the energy that propels the spirituality in every aspect at this holy eatery and place. Udupi is known to be a temple city and its natural to get positive energy attract visitors. What one thing is common of Karnataka food is the food essence remains the same, eating at CTR, Bengaluru or Udupi.

Fun fact : Goli bajji is also called as Mangaluru Bajji in Mysuru, Mangaluru Bajji is called as Mysore Bajji in US!

This is one of the best episode. The explanation of food has reached next level now!! And this is so Udupi.. shy waiters, curious customers, shy owner answering upto the point and there by hiding some secret recipe (of course Kripal will decide it) .. Crazy Fact is Soo Many udupi Origin type Hotels in Banglore dont serve Goli Baji.....More than In bangalore.... It's quite popular in hyderabad as mysuru bajji For the Breakfast... Almost both are same..... Mithra Samaj Goli baje is on Next level
