I managed to get both UCW (Unified Commonwealth Weathers) and Rad Weather working together. TreyM technicolor 2 is my favorite filter to use with those weather mods as well. That with 50 shades of rust, Sunlight Alignment Tweak, Boston Natural Surroundings, Classic Roads and Landscapes and Interiors Enhanced 2.0 makes Fallout 4 actually look apocalyptic.

Interiors Enhanced is lookin' nutty. Gettin' some Metro vibes with that one. UCW is a great addition with that Sunlight Alignment Tweak!

Borealis has been staring me down in my Favorites for a long time. That might have to be in Part 2. NAC X is definitely one id like to try again. I used to get this weird glitch with it where I’d enter a building, leave it, and everything goes way dark.

@Matt the TechRanger Main reason I use nacx isn't even for weather. I prefer true storms and it's features, however nacx is probably the only true lighting overhaul on xbox I can find. everything else crashes on certain cells

Better graphics and Weather combined with Treym Apocalyptic filter produces the best lightweight results for me personally. All under 2mb for a complete rework of the visuals with no performance loss.

I haven't tried that Better Graphics & Weather mod yet. Shocker since I see it all the time when browsing, ha. Apocalypse has such a nice look to it. I'm surprised that Better Graphics/Weather works okay with TreyM.

@@Matt_the_TechRanger Better Graphics and Weather (DLC) provides darker nights and better weather variety in one simple download. It saves me tons of space and mod slots. As I don't need to download dlc patches or darker nights patches which quickly eat up space.

What hud preset were you using in the video? And what mods could be paired with Vivid Weathers?

It was a def ui preset, just not sure which one. I think it was the Stitch preset. I made a video on def ui as well if you want to see the different presets. Vivid weathers works with just about anything but mods that change weather.

Have you tried out NAT - Natural & Atmospheric Commonwealth? I'm looking for good weather and lightning mods and that one has weather and interior & exterior lighting in just one mod. I've looked at Vivid Weather, but wondering NAT is better because it the additional lighting. On Xbox series X.

Vivid Fallout is always in my LO every playthrough ti does wonders and I play on an Xbox S and before I even tried vivid fallout my game would crash so much but after having vivid fallout on I hardly get the crash’s I’ve experienced I mean I still get an ocassional crash here and there but it’s fallout 4 is expected lol. But highly recommend Vivid Fallout

A lot of great textures for 500-ish MB. It’s a lot for Fallout but I’ve never really felt strapped for space because of it.

@@Matt_the_TechRanger yes the MB r pretty big and I def have to pick and choose the other mods I want to include lol cause it drastically cuts down the space with just that mod and we all know Xbox users don't have a ton of SPACE *rolls eyes* lol but those r mostly workshop item mods or armor mods that I use alot of I try to not go to overboard on graphic mods or fps boosting mods, Boston fps fix, disable sun/grass mods etc I think they harm the game more than benefit it.

@@Matt_the_TechRanger yes I hear the game runs a lot better on series x than the S but it's a hell of alot better than what it ran on my PS4 when I had one. I bought a PS4 from my friend about almost a year ago and fallout 4 on that would constantly crash all the time I figured out that it must have been like a old old version of the PS4 that's why he sold it to me for so cheap I'm sure cause it was an older version of the PS4 saw that they had the Xbox series S on sale someplace and I must say even the graphics on the Xbox compared to the PS4 I had was a drastic improvement also was how it handled running my game. That's why I was thinking it was an older model PS4 and fallout 4 with mods it just did not like it at all lol.

Hi Matt, thanks for the video. I also play on a Series X. Is there a mod that prevents reloading textures and popping objects (cars, buildings, bridges)? I am not convinced of Far Far Away Area Reform. I'm currently testing Optimized Vanilla Textures(356 MB).

I’ve had a good experience with Vivid Fallout but texture pop-in still happens with modern games so I’m not sure it’s totally fixable in Fallout 4. Also started using Borealis landscape with its respective LOD mod and I haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. I have heard that the base Fallout textures had some issues so I think you’re on the right track of trying some new ones!

I might look into doing another LO video once I finish up with the America Rising quest mod. It probably wouldn’t be too different from that last one but I am loving Borealis.

I like True Storms with Fallout 76 weathers and the patch to go along with it. Might get rid of it since I don’t like how often the rad storms take place. It should be rare and scary not oh brother here it goes again type of thing.

True storms is definitely one of like to get back to. Love Seventy-Six weathers. You might b me able to put the “no radstorms” mod after those and be able to get rid of those. I tried it with vivid weathers and it seemed like it worked. The options for it in the pipboy were there but didn’t work which was good.

I have an Xbox series X. I really am lost on what mods I should download and try to get the most out of a play through. I have the basics from my Xbox one like the RU556 and any modern weapon mods along with the green in the commonwealth. I like the green and trees but there is A LOT of green in places where green shouldn’t be any idea of what mod I should try instead? I also liked that survival mod that made your carry weight like 85 and the weather brutal as well. I just haven’t played since the release of Nuka World so I really don’t know what’s good anymore, or how many more mods got ported over.

A lot of stuff has been ported since Nuka. I think I started making mod videos for Fallout after that. Definitely a lot to choose from. I generally go for Vivid Fallout or Natural landscapes for a main texture mod. Borealis has been pretty cool so far as far as adding greenery to the game. I looked at that briefly in part 2 of this series.

I believe that's just the Earthen Cold preset for TreyM Film Looks. I use TreyM Film Looks pretty much all of the time. I switch out the presets a lot

Could be that some texture got lost when you installed it. Purple usually means missing texture. Not something I've noticed with this one but maybe I'm lucky.

Yea that could work. I know with Skyrim that things like different SMIM mods being installed can cause textures to go missing. Another thing would be to do that and load the save before you had installed the mod initially.

I made a video with a few mods that might help! I think it still holds up. Mileage will always vary depending on what mods you use in addition and your save game. I've had a lot of success with the FPS Boost feature on the Series X. I bounce back and forth between that and using an FPS mod but I think that still works the best for me.

@@Fuap69 It's possible if you're dumping your current list by clearing your reserved space. Sometimes there is mod data left on a save after uninstalling a mod which can mess with things. If your load order structure is good and you create a new save then that should be a good place to start to try and nail down your issues.

Probably won’t see any performance changes until the Anniversary update for Series consoles and PS5 but my latest load order works well in Boston. Crashing can happens with mods or no mods in Fallout, unfortunately, but there’s ways to minimize that.

All mods were made/ported for Xbox One. Mileage can always vary in performance with the different boxes but you should be good 👍 Any grass/tree mods are usually where performance dips can happen. Fallout is still Fallout at the end of the day.

I don’t have one to test but all mods are made for the Xbox One. The mileage can vary across the consoles but nothing crazy. I recorded this on the Series X but have used these on a One S previously.

@@jannohoeven2318 Maybe on PC since a lot of mods there use the script extender but that's not available on console. Xbox should be good but we'll see. Only thing I see maybe conflicting with the update are performance mods. UI stuff maybe but they aren't adding Creations (at least not that I know) so stuff like DEF UI may get an update but maybe not.

Up to you if you really want to go for achievements or not. I have none since I started back on the One S with mods 😜 Worth checking it out without mods if it’s your first time as playing with mods is a great way to keep coming back.
