The level of the boss and enemies you fight is actually based on your highest level hero which for most players is their team level. I've enjoyed playing with my hero level under 100 while my team level is over 120 and both the boss and enemies are the same level as my highest level hero. It is also good to note if your highest level hero changes during the event the boss and enemies level doesn't change.

Thanks Charlie. After you kill the boss, you can jump over to any tower in the inner ring. So you can also grab the last chest that way.

I found out that the event uses your personnal (team) level when the event starts. I got to level 130 during the event and I faced level 129 enemies and the boss was also 129.

keria with dorian is amazing in this, as she hits every target and does all that pure damage, and it doesnt matter if she starts next to dorian as the team moves around

Honestly, all you need is a very strong Kiera (to do aoe dps)any healer, and Astaroth (to tank damage and revive fallen)

I skipped one of the boost towers and could defeat locations that had 50-60 more storm resistance points than my heroes.

another thing worth mentioning. i did the math, and if you add up all the pet soulstones left to gather, i need to average 21 soulstones a day to get all the pets fully evolved within 1 year. (you appear to be not far behind me) that doesn't even take into consideration this event, or any other event that gives soul stone chests. an average of 21 soulstones a day is very easy to meet if you are doing adventure 11 or above each day. So you might decide to just play the long game, not stress out too much about this event. within a year most of us who have been playing every day since pets were introduced will have all our pets evolved, one way or another. i don't recommend people spend money on this event unless they are playing catch up.

I defeated boss with purple Axel, Celeste, Maya, Yasmine, Arachne, and Asti which may be a LOL team for some but leaving boss resistance to magic buff off was not quite an option in my comp and I recommend clearing all towers anyway. Not sure what resistance I had, prob 220, the team lived through but the damage output was not great based on this comp + boss resistance to damage however was enough to win in two fights, though the bar was split more evenly. Speaking of player buffs, there is a camp that advocates skipping as a storm resistance is far more beneficial than buffs and that saves 3 movements. I skipped one. I burned 1000 emeralds for this event, purchased 2 movements so one covered 500 emerald spending and 1 movement as a reward for a total of 3. I have VIP 7 so that gives 7 moves right of the bat and spent 5k of energy. I just wonder if there is a way to win with free to play if you are not a VIP at all. This subtracts 7 points which are 35 of resistance. I think 500 emeralds free players can afford to earn them from anything else. Purchase of movement point will complete 500 emeralds spend task which will give 2 points 1 for spending emeralds and 1 just bought, next emerald spend is 3k so pass it. It will leave a free-to-play player with 5 points of disadvantage and therefore 25 resistance less by not having VIP at all. He would need a team to kill the boss in one go with maybe 190, 200 with tons of energy burned. There is a way to follow to get all chest I think but attention needs to be paid to messages. There should be enough points anyway to almost complete two outer rings fighting sometimes headwind with damage taken from greater storm resistance of the enemy. What would be a more useful subject of the video is a team that works against an enemy with greater storm resistance by several points and can survive and win.

Dorian plus Orion is all you need regardless of your storm resistance. The vampirism aura combined with Orion's fast ults defeats all the enemy squads pretty quickly. Seeing what the Osh team can do is intriguing though!

I always try to get all the towers in the storm since my goal is to gather the coins to buy loot with. So I zig zag around the edges and only move to the middle when I've cleared all the other towers.

i use a team with as much healing and mitigation as possible, due to the nature of the encounter. so i use Axel, Astaroth, Maya, Celeste, and Martha. Keira is the best final pick, but since my main account doesn't have Keira leveled i'm using Ginger. Keria makes a HUGE difference. I can do the boss in 1 attack with my Keria account despite being less advanced as my main account. You need a minimum of 180 storm defense to fight boss

​@@eugenetswong i don't understand what you are asking? why would you not attack? chaos particle loot chests in this event are garbage. each chest only has a 13% of dropping a chaos particles, and when they do it's only 25 particles. They give so very little. You earn far more chaos from doing 1 single adventure, and even more still from the pet merchant once you have a pet evolved to max. This event is all about getting as many soulstones as possible. Once you get all your pets maxed, the chaos particles start pouring in. If someone told you not to play this event and just collect chaos particle chests from the turn in at the end of the weekend, they have given you horrendously awful advice. You stand to earn 100 thousand storm coins by doing the event, and only about 34 thousand by not doing it. Those 34 thousand coins translate to a few hundred worth of chaos particles. I could earn that much just from doing a couple of adventures. but the 500 soulstones are invaluable. That's a months worth of soul stones. Getting your pets to max evolution is far more important than a few days worth of chaos.

Wait. You get 500 eggs?? You get them from buying pet soul stone chests? By the way, thanks for your patience and time.

@@eugenetswong i get 500 soulstones not 500 eggs. 50-80 eggs though isn't a lot. it is an okay amount. I earn an average of 10-13 eggs per day just doing adventures 11 or 12 every day. I could see a time once all your pets are maxed that it might be better off not doing the event and just collecting the rewards at the end of the week, But for me at least, that is still a year away.

If I am lucky enough to get 100 eggs, I still won't get 500-800 stones. How do you get so many? Do you spend a lot of emeralds? I'm still stuck on adventure 9, and haven't had the time to level my top 5, because I've been focusing on the Stone Cold team.

Getting the event chests is generally better than getting the soul stone chests, because they can give you summoning eggs, which help you complete some of the tasks, so allowing you to get more location gems And get you some chaos particles (and other rewards), and eggs give you some soul stones anyway.

Another great video, however since new players are watching and doing what you do maybe you could talk about strategy on pets. All of your pets are violet so your next goal is getting them to 6*. Terrific. Newer players might be better served getting storm chests because of the chaos particles. Wouldn’t promoting all pets to blue then all pets to violet be more important as a goal for newer players?

Andvari-Kiera-Orion-Dorian-Martha works great -- I've 1-hit the boss at 190 resist, and 2-hit the boss doing 2 attacks at 180/185 resist. I think replacing Andvari with a frontline healer -- Markus or Maya -- might make it possible to 1-shot the boss with even lower storm resist -- as the main reason the attack at 180 resist attack didn't work was Kiera dying to storm damage before Martha began healing.

The boss fight does only(?) magic damage, that's why Isaac can tank it like he can Osh spheres. The other fights are more or less normal campaign missions plus the AoE pure damage, which is why a normal tank with high armor is useful. Unlike Isaac.

Iris actually is quite effective against these teams, and the final Boss. Yasmine doesn't do all that much, but QM can boost Keira's damage because of her AP artifacts.

I used Orion Nebula Jhu, plus Dorian as a healer and Astaroth as a tank, which looks like my current osh team (except I use Martha instead of Dorian, but I prefer Dorian to counter the storm damage) since I do not have sebastien and isaac ready yet. Interestingly with the same core, Jhu is far more efficient against osh, but it is the opposite on the storm boss, Orion deals far more damage.

Dorian is awesome against the final boss because it doesn't matter if he dies, he keeps healing everyone in his aura. So if you have a levelled up Orion, he will last a long time. I can literally just defeat the final boss with Orion and Dorian, the other three heroes are irrelevant.

@@Zorn7Thorn Having tested this a bit more, it depends on the team composition. Basically, if Orion is the front hero to start with then he doesn't move around. Or, if there are other heroes in front of him, and they die, he stops moving around, so if he's in Dorian's aura at that time he will stay in Dorian's aura.

An update to this, As Charlie mentioned elsewhere, this works really well if you have a high level Orion, COMPARED TO THE REST OF YOUR HEROES The fights are based on the level of all your heroes, so if you have all heroes levelled equally then Orion and Dorian don't have such an advantage.

theoretically you might have been able to win. with OSH team if you had gotten the 250 chaos resistance, martha wasn't strong enough to heal through the pure damage so your team died. if they weren't taking that damage they may have survived. also I thought the best patron for Jhu was albus, sebastian allows other heroes to do pure damage, but it's that hero that is doing the pure damage not sebastian. right?

i manage to get al the chests without spending any money using keira, martha nad dorian. i dont think any other heroes are needed. i do get all teh extra enerrgy from vip points though

You need to discern what kind of damage the enemy minions are dealing. If they don't deal magic damage, there is no reason to include Isaac in the team.

Have 10 moves left and not going to use them. Already have all of the chests, and wont get enough storm resistance to get boss. So I feel I'm better off getting the 1.6 legecy chests from unspent moves. Does anyone know if they round up or down?

Don't get any more locations than you need. When the event finishes you will get a chest for each location. Which is more than the rewards for getting the location. It is far better to get all the chests on the map, and as few locations as possible, and then defeat the boss in 5 tries, than get enough locations to beat the boss in 1 try You don't need to spend ANY emeralds for this event, just hit the boss sooner, but multiple times.

Isn't there one chest on each arm of the star? Never seen two chests besides eachother, so even with no tags you would know there were no chests when you skipped at 03:40.

Depends on Osh's level. Using Axel instead of Albus as team pet will do more damage if your Isaac is weak as Axel will keep Isaac alive longer
