2 on 1 close guard to 2 on 1 spider guard on the hips?

As a smaller guy (150 lbs) I usually look to set up a collar sleeve on bigger opponents, if I get into trouble I will throw on a lasso to retain guard or try to work my way into a single leg x/x guard from a shin on shin.

@@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU Thank you. I really enjoy your channel. The bigger guys tell me my open guard is a real pain to deal with because I stay active and control distance. It's usually when they get some sort of hip to hip connection and pressure pass that things go sideways for me. Lol

This is gold! I used against every 200+ lbs. opponent at open mat today. The best part of the instruction is addressing every direction the opponent will go. 🤜 💥 🤛

Thank you very much for this Marcos. I had some success with this today. The guy backed up so I kicked the knee away and came up on top. I remembered quite clearly what my options were thanks to this video. Big oss

Big OSS! Started using this against bigger opponents, guard has been improving as a white belt. I like playing deep lasso, bought both the instructionals has been great fun learning and trying it out!

B I G O S S BROTHER - thank you for this video. I really like this guard since blue belt. Against bigger opponents, I like to use butterfly guard because they often go on their knees!

Very interesting, though in the beginning I was suspicious, as on very large guy it's impossible to be in closed guard, and then they use their weight to pressure crush easily. Though when you went to open guard I understood better what I could do to block and sweep. Thanks

I had a big success with the half guard against bigger opponents... all you need is an under hook, and you have access to their backs.

What if you can't close your guard around them
@irsh2786 Жыл бұрын
open guard is the best I think when they are on top and I'm on the back. Butterfly might be useful as well.
