My husband uses one of his locs as a hair tie! When his hair no longer fit most hair ties, he took one of his longer locs and wrap it around the others into a ponytail. He still does this to this very day.

Swirly Curly hair tie with snaps is my go to. It comes in a box of five and with longer hair can attach the snaps to make a longer hair tie.
