Thank you for sharing. I heard that some companies that have their products in advent calendars or subscription boxes put ‘not for resale’ on their products because a large number of people were returning them when they shouldn’t have, so this would eliminate this problem.

Yep this is a common thing with gift sets too as they had a lot of ££ paid out to people taking stuff back without a receipt - in the days when you used to be able to 😂- so all stores do this as much as they can now

I think too many of these expensive advent calendars are pushing up the value of the boxes by putting extremely expensive products in but only giving us 5 or 10ml samples which if it's skin care, we won't see the benefit at all. So we're actually getting for example a £40 sample which is of no use thereby making it sound like we're getting a bargain in a £1,000 plus value box. The 5ml or 10ml perfume samples are ok but how many of us would actually go and buy the £400 full size bottle, even if we enjoyed the sample. The full size products that are in the boxes generally do the rounds in monthly subscription boxes. I'd rather have a Christmas box of 8 to 10 full size products of luxury I could never afford and at least get the benefit, especially when it comes to skin cares costing £100 and up, rather than a 24/25 day advent calendar with so many useless teaspoon fills of products. But I don't understand, you need a receipt for the product to be able to return it to a store. Is it different in the US? Because here in Europe, if you take a full size product from a box or calendar and try to bring it back to a store, no one will accept it, and there's no point in throwing a tantrum, no receipt, no return, that's the policy.

@ I’m from 🇨🇦 & someone might say it was gifted to them & they don’t have a receipt. Also some companies do sell travel sizes which would be more likely to be the ones marked ‘not for resale’ in the calendar or subscription box.

I like this one a lot! generally I like a lot of fragrance mini, it gives you options and you can use up before the smell changed over the time

Genuinely didn't even notice that you didn't have mascara on! 😄Another pretty nice calendar. I think there might be some better ones out there, but I'm glad they've taken the vouchers out of it. It brings the overall value down of course, but if you didn't live near a Harvey Nics (or weren't inclined to visit) the value's lost anyways, soooo..... Those Jo Loves Christmas candles are STUNNING! I've had a few of them in advents from previous years and they're all totally beautiful. The cold and hot throw from even just the tiny votive - it fills our whole house with the most glorious scent! I've treated myself to a full size Christmas Trees scent this year. Couldn't resist!

You're reminding me that I haven't seen my Fenty lip stain in a while, I need to look for it, I really enjoy it 😊 For the calendar, I guess they finished with the fragrance because it's written "happy holidays" on it? But like you, many people might not like the scent and be a bit sad to finish on that note.

For the voucher chances- 1 in 100 is half the chance of 1 in 50. So last year you had a 2% chance and this year you have a 1% chance.

Molecule 1 is my favourite perfume. People have stopped me in the streets and asked me what perfume I'm wearing. It smells fresh and not overpowering.

Great video. And I love your makeup. If I understand correctly 1 in 100 is this years voucher chance? If last years was 1 in 50 that was a 2% chance to win the 2023 £100 voucher… this year being £250 1 in 100 (if I heard right) is a 1% chance of finding said voucher. Which is less likely?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ but cool they made the value much higher. Thanks for another fab calendar review

That really expensive skincare really isn't worth the silly prices. I think brands like the ordinary and Beuuty pie hsve blown the lid off all of this and if you read Sali Hughe's column shr ecplauns hiw these brands are all owned by a few umbrella companies with the 'innovation' quickly cascading down to the cheaper ranges. The thing that most improves skin is retinaldehyde and sunscreen. vit c is a close follow up ( I usedvto work with a dermatologist). I don't understand the irritation over 'gift with purchase' items. You rarely get any of those without purchase.

Wayyyy to much scents so risky with all the perfumes I know my favourite scents I try them all in store or on those little paper testers so we don’t need them in beauty advent calendars such a shame had hopes for this one since I missed out on the Cikt beauty one I usually get every year. That came out way to early while I was on Holliday in Lanzarote gutted I havnt managed to get one this year I like, since seen a lot of Cult beauty ones on EBay for £100s more I would never involve myself to profiteering when us mear mortals save for ourselfs to buy a calendar in the first place. Christmas is pricey when you have one but your sister has 5 kids lol.. keep checking your videos in hopes one comes out later on in the year, the best advent calendar opener on KZbin look forward to you this time every year. :)
