That vermeer makes a great bale. I have a little older vermeer with net wrap. I love that roller. Great video and see y'all next time

If you rake at the time when it’s ready to bale does that break the alfalfa leaves off? I’d like to do this but I do alfalfa and green feed. And I don’t want to break it apart and lose feed

Dane I use a old milk crate and keep my used and new tubes in it and hang the gun on the side of it by the handle. It just rides in the back of the truck and it does not catch rain water.

I kept a trash bag in the bed. Also, the toolbox has a toolbox where the grease goes with extra tubes so they can grease up rhe inside and not the main box. I miss the toolbox beds, but they are expensive.

Check out the lock&lube foot pump grease gun. Best manual grease gun.

I know depends on the situation for your field sizes, but the PERFECT baling rig would need to have a Rowse V-rake in front of that Vermeer LOL! How has the new baler been? About the grease on the trucks, impossible to keep clean LOL. Dust sticks to anything oil. We carry around plastic store bags at least to throw greasy items like empty tubes, gloves, rags, and throw it in a 5 gallon pail with a cover to prevent from losing it down the road and the wind.

Love the new baler. Great investment. Id buy another Vermeer before any other color.

I run a Milwaukee electric gun I usually just chuck the empty tubes in the box of the truck than toss into the trash once I get home but honestly most of my greasing is at home the baler has an auto greaser on it so it takes very little grease and the Tm 1410 if I remember right has two grease fittings for every two hundred acres so I just don’t need to grease a whole lot. I’ve never cut with a power shift hell......, last year was the first year I cut with a tractor at all I run a self propelled up till last year but finally pulled the trigger on some new iron last year. I love my 605 N baler it sure beats the twine wrap 567 JD I had before.

I keep my Milwaukee grease gun in the baler in one of the twine holders. Wrapped in a small trash bag.

I have to vote Quad Range since that's the only thing we have. I guess you love what you know. Works great as long as you find the right pairing to drop back and forth between.
@GolschHayFarms4 жыл бұрын
True that! Good for loader work too. If quad range is all you have of course

I’ve only used John Deere and Vermeer net wrap. I like the Vermeer a lot better then the John Deere. Can you show a close up of your net wrap on a bale.

I keep my grease gun and a box of grease in one of my under bed boxes. It stays nasty in there so I don't put anything in there with it. The empty tubes are kept on the bed until proper disposal is available! Nothing clean about my system😷

I keep my battery operated grease gun in its case in the underbody truck box and grease cartridges in the box they come in as well in the same truck box. Empty cartridges go in the trash or some kind of bag as soon as it comes out of the grease gun, don't want that nasty sucker getting all over me or my tools...
