My experience: - I got the returning customer discount even though I never bought anything before (bug?) - It’s extremely comfortable - can be used like a quest pro without the facial interface and still be stable - can be adjusted to really be elite strap like stable - the fan is barely audible up until about 50% which already gives an eye drying amount of air - there is a VERY faint buzzing when the quest is at 100% imho no issue and negated by the next point: - the battery can be switched off by long pressing the fan speed wheel (short press is fan on off) - fan setting (on/off and speed) has a memory function - the two nubbies on top of your head can be adjusted up and down and completely removed - charging the battery directly via usbc only pulls 12watts, so even less than charging the q3 directly, it really needs the the charging dock - there are 4 leds on the battery and a button on it’s side to show status like the old battery

Can you still use the link cable to connect it to your PC when using this BoboVr Pro?
@GarrettTobyC1311 ай бұрын
Why do you need that if you wired in? Lmao. Virtual desktop ftw.
@na-dj6ob11 ай бұрын
@@GarrettTobyC13 Because wired connection allows the user to raise the bitrate higher with a more stable connection for less compression artifacts which means better visuals, less stuttering/dropouts, and lower latency than even the fastest wireless connection. That is important to some people over wireless.

Cool Thanks for the video info on the Bobo product. I don't have a Quest 3 yet, so until I get one, I will decide which 3rd party head strip I will get. I know the one that comes with the Quest 3 is kind of simplistic. I guess they wanted to keep the pricing down somewhat. Take care.

@VOODOODEVR-EN, do you recommend any wireless charger for Quest 3? I'd love to have wall-mounted one, but I can't seem to find any good one. IMHO, a charger shouldn't cost as much as Meta sells their original one for.. Any recommendations?
@melmacj214211 ай бұрын
I agree with this review 100% Bobo VR has done a great job with the S3 Pro. If I had one gripe it would be I wish there was a USB-C pass-through for the link cable. But this thing is amazing I just got mines today. Everything clicks into place and the Meta Quest 3 has no pressure on my face because this version is a lot more robust. I know they're only taking pre-orders at the moment, the S3 Pro is worth the wait. Best comfort since PSVR/2. I boxed up my M2 Pro asap and the S3 Pro is my go to head strap. Buy this version. Also some other reviewers are reporting no button to check the battery. This is false there is a button to check the battery. It so well designed you don't see it right away but it's on the right side of the battery. The fan is amazing as well too and not that loud for my ears. Great product.

So for PCVR do you just leave the battery on but unplugged from the device then use the PC wire?
@melmacj214210 ай бұрын
@@ModestKarma I leave the wire to the pc connected to keep it charge. I have my pc set to provide continuous power while off to the usb. So when I play the battery 100%. Since for some reason the Quest 3 is always draining the battery.
@thebutlah11 ай бұрын
Usually appreciate your reviews as they are thorough, but this one I felt lacked key information: * Does it fit in the offical carrying case? * Does the battery keep the headset charged? I.e. if i had infinite batteries to swap, can i play forever or does the headset slowly drain * Comfort/protrusion of the back of the strap vs the m3 vs stock strap. Is it comfortable to lay on your back with a pillow? Many people sleep in vr or just like to lie down with the headset on * Does the headset slip off if you lean over/go upside down? Its annoying how the stock strap causes the headset to start to slip off.

I'd like to see a few good non-battery basic headstraps compared on weight, stability, build quality and comfort because kids have to wear and share these and the battery headstraps can be a little too big and heavy. I use a basic headstrap with no protruding knob (better for laying back) and external battery just so there is not a lot of weight on anyone's head. We wear our 20,000mah battery in a mic holster strap over our shoulder.
@jd_real111 ай бұрын
I've been using mine for a little while. the battery and comfort are worth it. the headset battery lasts about 45 minutes full charge and this battery lasts an hour and 15 min. the fan is just stupid btw. you can turn it off though

You should be getting at least 1.5-2 hours from the headset and 3 hours from the bobo battery

Can you run the fan alone? I mean can you start the fan even if the cable isn’t connected to the headset? I 99% use power cable and virtual desktop so I would like to have the option to to run my quest 3 from a power cable connected to power outlet and run the fan from the battery
@jcbuk2us9 ай бұрын
So, the battery cable runs through the fan to the USB port. Yes, you are able to use it while on PC Yes, you don't have to connect the battery cable to the headset to use the fan

I have both the M3 Pro and the S3 Pro, and I’m going to be honest with you guys. I hate watching sponsors videos because they don’t tell the truth. When it comes to comfort: There is no difference with the S3 Pro and the M3 Pro. The comfort level are literally identical. They’re basically the same headset and fits the same way. The only benefits to get the S3 Pro is the longer lasting battery and the cooling Fan. To me the Fan is a joke, sometimes you don’t really feel it. But the battery last almost twice as long as the M3 pro battery. Now what are the Cons….! The price is almost twice as much as the M3 pro. I’m sorry, but a better battery and a cooling fan that doesn’t work that well does not justify the price jump. So that is the truth. Use it at your own risk.

I haven't tried the M3. The S3 is the first headset I tried and I like it but!!! I find it heavy and a bit wobbly on my head, I need to learn how to wear it better. The extra battery is great and I didn't think I would bother with the fan but it works! After a workout, I turned the fan off and I could feel the warmth compared to having the fan on. So far, I'm happy with the S3

Wow, it's quite expensive. Tbh I'll just buy the M3 Pro, because what I mainly want is a good halo strap. As for the battery, for me personally it's totally comfortable to just keep a 20K mah powerbank in my pocket instead of wearing it on my head.
@quidnunc0111 ай бұрын
M3 pro included battery is fine. It does drain in like an hour with heavy use (like with higher res enabled with Quest Games Optimizer) and also drains the Q3 battery somewhat due to insufficient power delivery but if you swap with a second one I think it will cover the length most would play without a break (I also bought the battery dock with +1 battery). As an M3 owner I did consider the S3 but I think I'd rather try a different strap without the Halo design as my second strap (in the $70-80 range) before doubling down on the halo design with minor improvements (at > $100).

You can also use a rubber band to stick it on the back if you want.

I dont understand the reviewers on youtube obsession with more counter weight, some reports are saying the headset is heavy. I tried the kiwi with battery and to much counter weight gives very bad neck pain as the unit becomes heavy, others mentioned this as well. A bit of counter weight is all you need. I dont want something as heavy as the headset on the back.
