Hey man great content, just wondering what your entire audio chain is for powering the HD800S? Do you get to hear yourself live with your audio interface?

When I did this view I ran all my audio through an RME Babyface PRO FS into a A90 amplifier. So I could hear myself if I wanted, but since the headphones are openback it wasn't really needed for my particular stream setup.

@@Offcast hey that was a really quick reply thanks for responding; does it mean that the babyface was the DAC, and you plugged the HD800S into the amplifier? I was kinda wondering if there was a true all in one solution, ie just one machine that I can use to power and monitor my mic, while being able to power the HD800S.

@@jeremylim2656 The RME has enough juice for the HD800S on it's own, just not to super high levels, plus I had the amp anyway.

I have the Motu M4, and for some reason I feel the bass is lacking compared to when using my amp so I was wondering if I got a dud or if USB audio interfaces are too weak in general. It would depend on the microphone. Dynamic mics like the Shure SM7B wouldn't pick it up. Condensers might, but you'd really have to crank the headphones all the way up. These headphones go on sale quite often, I got mine for 700 bucks off and there's always secondhand.

Is a rodecaster pro 2 enough to drive these?

It's slightly under the 300 impedance the Sennheiser requires, so you may have to crank the volume a bit.

My HD800S plugs directly into my PC and works fine without the use of a DAC and/or Amp, so these are actually not needed. Well, I did need a 1/4” to 3.5mm adapter though.

yeah your getting less then half the sound quality you could tho, if you buy these without investing in a proper amp/dac combo. w h y ~. just buy normal headphones at that point. even a $250 combo will do this headphone huge gains

You definitely need a amp to get the most from these ... Your built in sound card cannot provide 300ohms and enough power to fully use the drivers

I want to buy this. I understand it’s the best for Csgo. My only thing is that I’m super sensitive to head pressure. I actually play Csgo with earbuds becuase of that. Are these very comfortable? Do they have very light clamp pressure??

I wouldn't say they have a very clamp, but the clamp focus isn't too bad and the headphone is super lightweight, it is probably the comfortable high end phone aside from the meze elite.
