I found your channel recently when looking up heat press info and I appreciate that you’re honest and get to the point as opposed to drawing things out for 20-30min 😊. Speaking as someone a bit newer, I bought an eco tank and converted it to a sublimation printer but I started having a really difficult time with color; my greens and teals were turning green; fuscia was coming out quite red and pinks were coming out brown/coral. I watched a ton of tutorials, adjusted a bunch of settings and did a lot of trial and error with no luck. I also tried to get into ICC profiles but it got confusing quickly. I ended up getting the Epson sure color f170 (sublimation specific printer) and I’m very happy with my decision for the items I want to make.

I'm really happy to hear you enjoy my videos and find them helpful! 😁😁 I used an Epson WF-1700 (I think that was the model it's been a while) and it worked great for about a year. After that I started to get too many issues with the printing, pizza wheels, and a few other things. That's when I decided to go the dedicated sublimation printer route. Never looked back! It's sooooo much better and easier to have a printer that's made specifically for sublimation. How do you like the Epson? I've heard great things about it!

So far, I love it! I was making a gift and the colors are SO much better and it’s faster, too. I also like that the bottles that came with it can refill it a second time though I’m not so sure about the black as that tank is much larger. From set up to first print was about 20-30 minutes!

Oh I'm sure it's WAAAY faster! And that's awesome it has refillable ink. Honestly, If I had done a bit more research I just might have gone with the Epson instead of the Sawgrass!

Thanks neko, I have a Sawgrass 100 and 2 Espon Workforce printers. I'm really intrested in a DTF machine but I don't think I have space for it currently. I have a friend who purchased one and it's huge however, I'll be relocating to a much sizeable space soon. Thanks for posting these videos fam. Peace.

There are desktop sized ones. But then you still need a way to cure powder. I stopped printing DTF because of the fumes. I had headaches all the time

Epson also makes a true sublimation printer… F170 & the F570 & both are ET printers … Basically there’s no need for converting an Epson printer for Sublimation. The F170 is for the standard sublimation printing & the F570 does the larger sublimation printing.

Good point. Totally missed those thank you. Are those recent? Because I just remember coming across the higher priced ones.

They’ve been out for a while but for some reason they are not advertised as much … I almost converted the ET 2760 until I came across the ET F170 sublimation printer on Epson’s web site… I’ve hadn’t had any issues … there’s only a few KZbinr’s that mention it… if any printer that is converted, it voids the warranty

@@donnierearden8334 dang that's unfortunate they really should put more marketing budget behind it considering the fact everyone converts and they're well aware of that

Can you fill the Epson Et with color pigment ink instead of the dye ink it comes with without it clogging or having issues? I know those printers only come with black pigment and the colors are dye based.
@NekoPrints

You mean to convert it to an eco-solvent? From my understanding that ink is too strong for the printer lines and will damage them

Ok, thanks I been using an HP and the ink is costing me so much plus theres always issues with them. Wanted to get away from HP all together but cant seem to find a All Pigment ink injest printer that is not HP. I make t shirts and heatpress transfers but Dye always fades so fast.@@NekoPrints

Hi at 3:13 you show a dragon with a black background when talking about sublimation printing. From my understanding you can't print on black shirts. Is that a mistake showing that shirt or have you found ways around it?

Hey! First off. THANK YOU SO MUCH for providing the time stamp. You made me responding SOOO much easier lol 😅😅 Second, I sublimated on a white garment 🙂 The design just had a lot of black in it. Good question and pointing out though!

I own a boutique and I am wanting to start making my own products. I know that DTF is way more versatile than sublimation, however I don't like the thickness of the DTF and I feel like its really hot in the summer. Is there a way to make sure the DTF printer is not "plastic like"?

The best you can do is test out different suppliers. I recommend TKO Sales (you can use my code for a discount NEKOPRINTS) to test out the feel. But ultimately, any and all transfers are going to be felt if the design is big enough. If you have smaller designs with less filling, like a large block design with a lot of gaps and holes in it, then it will be felt less. If it's a solid block print, then it's going to feel thicker due to the size. The softest you're going to get to be honest, is going to be with a DTG printer. But that's a huge investment and you need to make sure it's the right one for you and your business. It didn't work out for me. But it might for you. Honestly, most customers don't mind the feel of DTF. It's just part of the business

I wasn't aware of that one thank you! I'll be sure to add that in a future video. The awesome thing about that one is that it can also be converted to DTF

What inkjet printer should i buy for htv printing for heat press t-shirt making? Oh....and im a beginner😊
@NekoPrints
@NekoPrints 5 ай бұрын
It would depend on what you want to do exactly. If you want to do heat transfer vinyl, then a silhouette cameo or Siser romeo or Juliette. As for a regular inkjet printer, then you can really use almost any. The links to the cutters are in the description 😊
