I've been wearing my Gerbing heated vest for a few years now and love it. Toasty warm. It's brilliant.

Love it! Really nice to have that full focus on the bike in cold weather too as you don't need to worry about being cold

The new textile gloves are even better, especially in wet weather. The long press of the buttons is only on the initial first time to activate the settings. The long power lead is quite useful as you can dismount to say access your top box etc without unplugging. If you get a remote Bluetooth controller you can leave your current one tucked inside a pocket. Brilliant gear though 👍

I have the same gloves , bought last year. They will let water in after a couple hours . I’ve bought a waterproof leather cream for the gloves - recommended. Works a treat .

Good to know! I've not had wet hands yet but I suppose it's only a matter of time like most gloves haha! I'll get the leather cream on them

Thank you, this answered a lot of questions I had. I also have Raynaud's syndrome and it can become quite painful. The issue with other gloves is the heat doesn't cover the finger tips.

No problem! These work really well for me and a number of people who have bought off the back of the vid too!

Thank you bud! Appreciate you following! Very good question! I really enjoy the editing and filming something, and can talk about bikes all day so that definitely helps! It's mainly just enjoying the interaction with like minded people and having a good laugh. Gained some really good friends from doing this!

Great review Sam, if I go heated I will get the Gerbing stuff, they sound better than the rest, from your recommendation. It's good that Roadskinz are importing them, I found them great to deal with at the bike show and intend to get the jeans next year 😀

Thank you bud! It's difficult to pick as there are so many options out there now but I'm super happy with the Gerbing stuff so far! My old gloves stood the test of 4 British winters so hopefully these will too

@@SamVBikes you're welcome, we are spoilt for choice these days, my mate and I were only discussing how awful, by comparison, the kit was back in the 1980's! I had a pair of frank Thomas sub Zero aqua gloves that were supposed to be the best thing out there. My hands were cold after the 10 mile trip trip to college in the winter. I suppose their marketing was correct as the name accurately described how your hands felt after a 15 minute ride! 😂

😂😂 guaranteed to make your hands sub-zero haha! Yeah definitely are pal. Everything is so good now, even the cheap crap stuff is very good

@@SamVBikes the budget end is as good, or better than the high end stuff in my youth. I would be keen to check out the RST options as I'm impressed with their kit, especially at the price!

Are you using anything like bar muffs in addition to the heated grips and gloves? They look a little goofy but can turn your grips into tiny little saunas for your hands.
@SamVBikes Жыл бұрын
Nope I'm not! I have the barkbusters but they don't do a huge amount bar deflection of some direct wind blast! I can't bring myself to fit them haha

Hi Sam, great gear gerbing ive been using it for last 5-6years absolutely love it. One small thing though where ive found they've gone backwards a little. You were saying how its quite difficult to change heat settings on the go, well it did'nt use to be. On the last generation of clothing(Which i have) Gerbing used to have a wireless duel controller which you can stick on your bike anywhere that suits, and you can turn the power up and down at will (goes up and down in 10% increments) via the two knobs just like a volume control on a radio. Absolute game changer and i still use today....But the new micro wire gear you have today isnt compatible with the bluetooth wireless controllers!! 🤨 As i said they seemed to have gone backwards...Maybe it's question worth asking? Anyhow keep up the good work and that front wheel high Sam. 👌👍
@SamVBikes Жыл бұрын
Glad you're so happy with it! I'll ask the question bud. I'm sure it will be something they are working on to improve. Apparently a lot of it seems to be based on customer feedback so wonder if some people just wanted it low, medium or high. Its definitely a good set of kit

@@SamVBikes I've got the (awesome) Warm & Safe base layer with the Bluetooth controller, and am in two minds about that TBH. The remote and unlimited adjustability is awesome but I DO worry about if it'll break one day and I won't be able to fix it... :( (I carry a spare battery for the controller, just in case - but so far, I've yet to have a battery not last a whole winter...)

Man I’m confused, I just got the heated jacket liner like you, but even at setting 5 i can’t even really tell if it’s on, like I feel a little bit of heat but not much. All these reviews make it out like it’s super hot??? Do I just have a faulty jacket liner?
@SamVBikes Жыл бұрын
I'd say you must have a faulty jacket. This is so hot that I can't leave it on 5 for more than 10 mins. It is hotter running off the bike too so if you're running off a battery it won't be as hot
