My favorite Airport. Flew in and out of here over 30 years. Changed a little over the years, but surrounded by a great city. Cheers from Aotearoa. Love the video's like crazy. I was a storemen at Qantas Domestic for A.R.E, who had various store in both terminals. I watched planes all day, it was heaven. Today I live on the lip of NZ biggest crater, Lake Taupo, or Te Kopua o Kanapanapa as we call it.

I lived at Brighton Le Sands in Sydney, not far from the Airport. I would walk along the beach and up to the rocks near the Princess Highway plane overpass and watch the planes taking off and landing. I loved the sounds of the jets coming and going. I wasn't a frequent traveller, but I had fun imagining that I was either taking off on a holiday or returning home from one. They were really fun days. Very impressive clip. 🛩️🛫🛬🛩️🛫

All of them landed quite smoothly other than MH 123, QF 118 (For an A330 that is), SQ 7286, QF 108 (landed harder than QF 118), QF 64. I loved QF 28's livery! So sleek~ Qatar was my favorite though.

My favourite is 3:22. The Qatar 777. The pilot flared exceptionally and the gears drifted the ground. The nose impact was soft as well! Also great footage Tom! Have always loved plane spotting myself!

The A380 touchdowns were quite smooth for this type of aircraft, especially the Qatar one at the end was pretty spectacular. Definitely gave this video a big like, always enjoy seeing those kind of videos.

Most A380 landings are smooth....the opposite of what you sat is true. They are far to heavy to bounce on landing....most touch downs are smooth, there are exceptions of course but you will mostly see them have smooth landings...

It's difficult to do smooth landings in an A380 (but not impossible) compared to a B747, due to the landing gear setup (among other things).

I just happen to notice that the A380 outer engines don't have Reverse Thrust and B747 has Reverse Thrust on all 04 of their engines. Whereas, the MTOW of A380 is greater than B747 I guess.

A really nice compilation of arrivals in Sydney! My favourite had to be the Qatar A380, what a beautiful landing that was! Also, I have a question: do you think QR907 (A7-BAC) in this video was really arriving from Doha? QR907, from what I understand, is the return of QR906 (DOH-CBR via SYD) meaning that the aircraft was landing from Canberra and not from Doha. If this was filmed on 17/07/18, I caught A7-BAC landing in CBR!!! Sorry for the confusion, but a great video!

Too many good ones to decide! All those qauds were great to see and it was a nice throwback at the end with the ME3 arrivals all back to back! Interesting to see some 07 ops featured, shame its the 1 runway that the carpark doesnt cover well. All round solid video, liked a lot!
