I too went ion the Saturday & probably left before you got their arriving early in the morning having been told about Welland pre covid at another steam rally. The hill they were pulling heavy loads up looked steeper in real life than on video. Another interesting video.. Keep them up!!!

I first went there in 1988, my girlfriends dad went to film a Fowler Gyrotiller, had a great time, can can girls dancing, a few beers , all the lights on the engines and the steam organs etc, happy memories

My favourite thing about all the old machinery is reading up on the history of all the old companies. Usually simply built but reliable. Sometimes you see some beautiful mechanical engineering.

Excellent stuff, my old boss had one of those little diggers at the 6 minute mark, single cylinder lister diesel with a hand crank, would sit for years and fire up no bother. He bought it cheap in the early 80`s to dig a track for a water main, about 2 miles if i remember correctly. he probably still has it.

Love the Scammell (towing the quad float) - we used them as tank transporters in the Australian Army for many years... Missed driving them by only a year or two when I was posted in to the Tk Tptr troop... And the steam tractors... Just WOW!!!!!

Oh yes The Great Working of Steam is and has always been THE BEST show in the country I have been there many times back when it was started and I was a youth member of the Camping Club if Great Britain and Ireland ltd and it was held on John Rydout’s FARM (sorry if it’s spelt wrong to the family) but it was magical THEN and still is NOW I hope to go back at least once more before I can’t anymore To all of the South west of the camping club pass my wishes to you all from the Coxhead family headed by Norman and Dot( Doris) and John and Jackie(Jacqueline) I know she hates that name but some know her by it Happy Memories to ALL

Great video. My Grandfather and others of his generation, used to refer to all excavators as Hymac's, cause that used to be one of the few you could get here in NZ. I even remember my father telling me about how once, on a family holiday they pulled the car over to have a look at one, just cause it was so rare to see a digger. Now they're like arseholes, everyone has one! Cheers from NZ for another great video
