I still feel like Slice and Dice is the biggest hidden gem. It's not like it's an unknown game, but it's not even close to the level of recognition it should be compared with other games, i feel. It's strangely and unironically one of the best games I've ever played.
@OlexaYTАй бұрын
It’s a brilliant game, I’ve got tons of videos and it’s one of few games I’ll play on my phone. But it’s got 1100 reviews on steam, and the itch.io version arguably has even more players. It’s not really unknown
@rafaelf.9246Ай бұрын
@OlexaYT I totally get i, i'm merely proselytizing. The fact that this game is arguably even better on a phone is actually crazy. So underrated.

@@OlexaYT yeah, I’m kinda the same way, but it was an exception for my taste since I’m super into wizardry games and it’s more linear and readable than other traditional roguelikes. I get why they aren’t always for everyone, though. Thanks again for all your videos and roguelike suggestions!

@HappyWulfАй бұрын
Nice, some here I've actually not heard of. But I must insist that you reconsider Rift Wizard 2. It's not exactly a traditional Rogue like. It shares more blood with Gauntlet. All the spells are avaliable to you to unlock at any time, given you have the exp to buy them. There's no dungeon with hidden line of sight darkness. Every level is one full screen with the simple goal of clearing every enemy and spawner. Your spells have charges that refill after a level, and your consumable items can help you deal with bad situations you might have gotten yourself into, or to refill your spell charges should you run out before a floor is completed. Each spell can be upgraded once for some extra effect, and you can buy perks to augment spell behavior too. Rift Wizard 1 and 2 are very similar, but I think 2 is more balanced. In 1, you don't recover at the end of a floor, so in 2 you're free to use your spells without thinking about conserving, for example. The differences are slight, but there's just enough of them that it needed to be remade.
