That is part of why I dislike Intel so much, the improvements between their generations tends to be pretty slim. If intel really wants to court me, give me a lower power draw APU that I can actually game on. Totally depends on what resolution and framerate you want to play at . I am building a 7800x3d build, but using an RTX 4070 because I'll be using a 1080p monitor with 380hz refresh rate. I don't expect to hit 380 frames in gaming, but the combo should be awesome for that resolution. If I ever upgrade to a 1440p monitor then I'll consider a newer/better GPU.

I can't bring myself to buy AMD... Happy with my 13900K + 4090. There's something to be said about a locked P-Core multiplier @ 58x and 1.38V. I'd go for a 14900K to get the 60x multiplier... but it's basically a re-brand of the 13900K with some IPC uplift. Could probably hit 6GHz on my 13900K... I'll wait for 15900K.
