I'm a big fan of garlic. I think the more garlic, the better. You have some great looking tomatoes. The tomato soup looks quite good. The grilled cheese sandwiches also look great, and are a perfect match for the tomato soup. Cheers! ✌️🇨🇦

It's far too late at night to eat, but WOW - that looks fantastic. You make a gourmet grill cheese!! I am going to have to try the garlic in mine next time. I make my own sourdough weekly. To reduce the acid in fresh or canned tomatoes, I add a bit of baking soda. It will foam for a moment and than neutralize the acid. You only need a tiny bit. For a pot that size, maybe 1/4 tsp?? Start there and see what you think. Always enjoy your videos. Take care.

Hi from Alberta. I didn't think you were near the Penticton area, because you are in such a colder gardening zone. For some reason I pictured you up around Kamloops, or not even in the Okanagan Valley at all. If you are east or west, up the mountains from Penticton, I've been in both areas. Before Covid, for years we would travel and camp throughout BC, down into Washington and Idaho, back up through Jasper or Banff and then home. Packing four kids on our annual summer adventures.

Use food grade mineral oil to oil your cutting board and all wooden utensils in the kitchen. Food grade mineral oil is sold as a laxative and can be found even in a food store. It is inexpensive and will keep all wooden kitchen items in great shape.

Coconut oil or a ratio of coconut oil and beeswax would be more natural way, less toxic and pretty cheap to make✌️

A few years ago I ordered an apple-tomato soup at a restaurant that was so delicious I spent two years trying to get the just- right recipe at home. Part of why I want to learn canning is to make a large batch to have on hand throughout a year. Freezing didn’t work long term. But, I have never tried using a variety of tomatoes as you did in this video. I am definitely going to do that next time.

My first time watching your channel. I make a similar tomato soup, roasting the tomatoes and onion in the oven. I usually freeze it but my freezer is full so I was looking for canning recipes. I suppose I could just can more tomatoes and assemble the soup later. I used to get that coconut bread from Just Pies for my gluten free daughter. It is delicious! When I saw your jar with the Bicks lid I thought, "she must be Canadian" lol. I'm Canadian but live in Washington State right on the border. Sadly it is not so easy to cross these days.
