Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for going over the other options before going over what and why you went with what you did!! I have spent hours on YT trying to figure out what option is best/cheaper/convenient for hot water while out camping. You pretty much gave me exactly what I needed to know and why!!! Well done!

Thanks Matt. We have been looking for the best system to add to our Echo Trailer, and this video introduced a product that we had not even come across yet. The other options all had you showering close to your trailer, and this portable system is perfect. Showers under a Boabab? Yes please.

Hi Matt. I just this channel. So much to learn. Discovered your channel last week some time. Then watched the West Coast experience, followed by the Namaqua Echo route and then the Hilux build. I am proud owner of a 2000 Pajero 3.2 lwb that i hope to kit out before next year Sept when we plan to retire and start traveling.

Looks like a handy little system! Like the way it allows you to easily fill your jerry can from any available water source and the visibility of the water level while pumping out of the bucket! 👍👍👍

Matt. I have a similar gas shower system, but I pump cold water through the system, pumping hot water back into the same container until the water is a nice comfortable shower temperature. Then I switch off and unplug the heater system, and shower directly from the container, using the 12v pump and shower head. The water temp stay hot enough for my wife and I to shower properly, and you do not have to constantly adjust the temp guage

This was a really helpful, I have been looking at a couple of different options wrt hot water system for my D23 Navara Overland Build that I am currently busy with and this review of yours just sold me on the Alva unit. In most of the online shop ads for these I have not been able to determine the OD of the submersible pump and been worried about not getting it through the neck of my 108L onboard water tank...no I know. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Would have loved to see it actually working. Especially the shower. How much flow and pressure is there coming out of the shower head? Thanks

Great video and not to shoot the product down as it definitely has its pros, but it is very expensive in comparison to the Totai fitted Geyser. (The price is now R3800 on Takealot, Totai is R1800). The pro is that you do have portability to get far away from the vehicle, but then you have bulkyness. The Totai is fitted and smaller. As for the mud puddle by the vehicle, I use a mat from CGear which has an awesome design to keep sand and mud away from your feet but still drains the water so you are not standing in a mud puddle with dirty feet) I also have a Fronrunner privacy curtain if needed. Always pros and cons! My criteria for gadgets is that it must be small and light and affordable. Keep up the awesome videos! PS. where are part 3..... of your Namakwa eco 4x4 trip? I did the trip about in May.

Hey Matt Thanks for the info on the Alva unit I too purchased. Could you kindly let me know where you purchased the power bank with 12v output. Believe it or not I’m struggling to find this in Capetown

Hi Matt, great product! Didn't know about it until now. However, that little 12v battery for the pump looks nice too, what's the information on that?

Just be careful which model you get. Mine does not have the long wire that Matt and other things like the valve on the unit or the pump. My pump only attaches to a water bag and is not submersible like his is. Mine also does not turn on when using the gravity feed bag.
