As a dutchman, some background: this is a dutch singer "battle" show where they sing songs related someway to one of the singers the episode is aimed on, last episode is duets (like this one) Henk Poort is a classical trained A class actual opera singer, who on aged 60+ still went and learned how to add the grittier sound to his voice 10/10 nailed it (also pronounced as 'Hank' ~Alex pronounced that correctly~ 'Poor' (as in, not wealthy, just added by a closing T)

If ever there was a power duet sung live with so much passion, it is this one! I don't think I have ever heard a duet, sung by 2 artists who are so in to each other without being 'involved'! Floor is a childhood fan of Henk Poort ever since she saw him perform as The Phantom. Henk wanted to perform this song on the condition that he may perform this live at a later date with Floor's band Nightwish!!! They are awesome...both individually and together. It's a really special song written by Tim Akkerman who is also on the show but performed by Floor in his honor. I just can't get over the amount of power and emotion she puts into this song and really makes it a masterpiece. Beste Zangers (it means 'best singers') is a dutch show where 6 singers get together to sign songs for each other. Each week all the others singers sing for one of them. The song has to have meaning to that person. Could be that it's their song, or it could be that they particularly like that song, or have some other connection to it. It's a great show. And the 2019 version really brought Floor into the spotlight for a lot of people that don't listen to metal.

Some fun facts: - Henk Poort played the role of the Phantom originally back when it was a theatershow here in Netherlands (NL) - Poort has also been one of Floor's idols/inspirations for years, and now she gets to do a song with him. - The show was just that, a show to get singers to do stuff outside of their normal stuff and out of their comfortzone. (examples being that ridiculously high note at the end, and Poort throwing in the rawness in his voice.) Peace bro o/

At the beginning of this year Floor did a theatre tour here in the Netherlands. I went to see it live. It was life changing and of the best performances I've ever seen in my life!! And I've seen some awesome live performances in my life (Metallice, Disturbed, and so on.) I would've seen them together again at Pinkpop (dutch festival) this year but due to the effing virus it's very likely to be cancelled...)
