Terra Moons kills it for me on iridescent as well. 🥰 everyone talks about Red Giant but Phoenix has my heart! And Devinah Hemisphere multi-chrome gives me all the feels 😍. I own 99% of Sydney Graces inventory because...they’re delicious. I feel like her shadows are amazing and no fuss. At this point, I know if I buy blindly from SG, I’m gonna use it.

Agreed, I see alot of love for red giant as well as light year but rarely do I hear about Phoenix. When I first swatched that shade I was like omg and I believe there is no dupe for her either. I could be wrong but I personally haven't found one. She is truly unique to ones collection and I recommend her as a definite shade to grab for a first time buyer

Two or three years ago I started to wear makeup again. I came across your channel several times when looking up different brands. As my makeup obsession grew, so did my makeup brands. Some of the name brands seemed to be doing the same thing over and over. I started to look more towards indy brands and found love for duochrome and multichrome. I have heard other female youtubers mention you and say your the person to watch if you love indy brands and want to learn more. They are so right. You are awesome. I have found so many more brands through your channel and cant wait to order them and wear them. Thank you!

I have you to thank for introducing me to indie brands...I have had so much fun adding different brands to my collection...I love Sydney Grace and Terra Moons...also Nomad and Give Me Glow are favorites. I did pick up some singles from Devinah but haven't used them yet...The Glamlite chocolate donut palette is a huge favorite. The quality of some of these brands is unbelievable...soooooo much better than "mainstream" cosmetics. Thanks again for being so informative about this area of makeup.

I’m pretty sure Bernovich is another indie brand based in the EU that makes sparkly single shadows. Amy and some other creators have done videos on them :)

Have you ever tried Fyrinnae or Femme Fatale’s eyeshadows? They are gorgeous and totally worth mentioning! They have both loose and pressed formulas, and have some really cool color combos.

re pricing ... expensive for lower income if a huge bundle but (especially indie) can help those starting out to try formulas/colours/textures b4 investing in palettes +/ selecting season's or personal favourite colours w/o having to fork out for a whole palette... From videos Glamshop (Poland/EU) seems similar to Bernovich and both regularly have sales.

Best for most categories, in my opinion, are Sydney Grace and Adept. I have had some issues with some other small brands in terms of shadows breaking easily or falling out of the pan. I also do not care for glitter falling all over my face throughout the day. I have never had those problems with Sydney Grace and Adept. I also really like the Clionadh duochromes in the round pans (Wormwood is my favorite). Clionadh and JD Glow have some nice dark based multichromes, but they are expensive and I have only tried a few. I have not tired Terra Moons, yet, but they are on my list. Actually, thanks to Amy, who introduced me to and got me interested in TerraMoons.

Coloured Raine wins for best neon IMO. You must try Glam Shop!! They do the holo eyeshadows but that's not even their best eyeshadows. Their Turbo shadows are GORGEOUS! They're alot like Bernovich sparkle shadows but with a huge range. I find them unique amongst all my other indie singles and I'm on my 4th order in the last month!🤸‍♀️

Great video Amy! I totally agree with your opinions! Terra moons neons are 🔥🔥🔥. Another one of my favorite indie brands is MBA cosmetics. I feel like they are super underrated & not talked about enough. Their mattes are stellar and their multi chrome formula is one of the best I’ve tried. I’d say my favorite indie brands for singles are Clionadh, MBA cosmetics, Terra moons, Devinah, Pastel roses uk & Glaminatrix. Although I pretty much love every indie brand I’ve tried. Most don’t disappoint. Bernovich, Glam shop pl & Noctex beauty are on my “to try” list for 2021.

I use the ABH eye primer as a base for all of my looks. And, I use Nyx Glitter Primer with all of my shimmers & glitters. *Your mileage may vary.* Here are a few of my indie favorites in no particular order. 1. Sydney Grace Her brand pretty new to me. But I like the tones & the way they apply on the eye. I have 2-9 pans & 2-15 pans. My smaller palettes get more use. I like the easy looks I can get without a ton of forethought. They work well with others shadows. 2. Give Me Glow This brand has the best metallic (highly foiled) shadows. The mattes are usable, but they are a bit dry. Vintage Rose, Vivid Rose & Christmas Morning combine with any GMG single shades beautifully. I use some combination at least once per week. 3. Nomad Cosmetics The best travel themed makeup, imho. I own almost all of their eyeshadows. My favorites are Iceland & The Orient Express. They blend easily & are nicely pigmented. I've noticed that you have to use a primer. These shadows perform best with a mildly sticky primer base. 4. Lime Crime The best grungy color story in a premade palette. I have nearly every palette by this brand. Their unique color stories challenge me to be more creative. In a good way. They also make fantastic liquid lipsticks. The Velvetines & Wet Cherry Glosses are amazing. 5. Glamlite The best food themed makeup. I really like the Cake, Street Taco & Veggie Pizza palettes. The formula is too notch. The theme makes me smile every time I see them. I'm out of time. But the last few favorites are. 6. Kaleidos: Especially Escape Pod (best pastels) & Club Nebula (best dark yet visible shadows) & Futurism Scifi Green. 7. Menagerie Cosmetics Violet Ink (Nice monochromatic color stories) & Feral. 8. Shroud Cosmetics: Arcane & It's Freaking Bats.(Nice dark & grungy color stories.) 9. Black Moon Cosmetics: Urban Myth (Best theme & fantastic metallics).

I bought a Glamlite palette because of the hype on their metallics/shimmers but 2 out of the 3 metallics in the palette i got are actually subpar, and over all they were difficult to lay down smoothly and they shifted around on my lid very quickly after application. I need to try them with different eye primers but first impresions (after using them 4 times now), i dont think they should be here, shimmer wise.

Love this video! For me, the best metallic shadows are give me glow. Love how creamy and easy they are to apply. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck, given the large pan sizes. I'd also include JD Glow somewhere in the questions, specifically their galaxy shadows. Those are so beautiful and sparkly, as well. They're also very easy to access.

I have a few terra moon extreme multichromes that are awesome. I love my club nebula palette. I just made my first lethal cosmetics order with the 35% off easter egg coupon. I got dark & pastel mattes and metalics in blue, teal and green with a hint of purple (spirit and synth). Hopefully they all play well together and I didn't just spend $80 on accidental dupes for what I already have (club nebula, colourpops blue moon and the child palettes). I don't have many blues and greens in my collection, so I'm looking forward to my order.

I'm STILL trying desperately to get my hands on the Menagerie Pastel Pup palette. I've been trying to get it for near a year, now, and have been refreshing and scouring emails for restocks for the past 8 months, and have missed every single restock. 😒 I want to buy a bunch from Menagerie, but they're just always sold out, and restocks are gone in minutes, sometimes. 😣 So frustrating. Pastel Pup is legit my perfect palette (huge variety of pastels, almost all mattes, matte black and white), but my attempts to get it have been ultra cursed, so far. For super colourful mattes, I've fallen in love with Lethal. They're so, so good, they're PERMANENT, and very fairly priced. 👍🏻 Love 'em. ❤️ One of my favourite matte whites, one of my favourite matte blacks, and some of my favourite colourful, versatile shadows (I use a lot of them for blush, contour, and highlighter, and they blend out beautifully, even over an unset base)!

Just wondering if you'd put the "Chase Your Dreams" palette in the "newer" group that has a better matte formula. Maybe it just depends on preference and technique. I've never tried adepts shadows so I can't say how they compare. I just know I love how easily they blend together and how beautiful it ends up looking
