I like that the Canadian chefs, esp. Alvin (and the Austaralian ones too) taste the food like they mean it, not nibble on crumbs, and even if they don't enjoy it they don't spit it out, just politely explain why something doesn't work. Unlike the US judges who scream at contestants, toss dishes in the garbage, spit stuff out, simulate vomiting like petulant naughty spoilt brats.
@ms.sausages2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the US show is abhorrent! Over the top, and lacking constructive criticism.
@bxbblesong Жыл бұрын
Is rudeness less of a problem in later seasons? I've just started watching MaaterChef Canada from the very beginning, and it's only four episodes in but they're already being rude and one of the judges has already spat out food, and that was super disappointing to me when I just wanted to watch a version of the judges not being needlessly cruel.
@Screech911 Жыл бұрын
@@bxbblesong Yes they’ve been slightly disrespectful at some points in the show, but that’s to keep people watching. People like drama, and no one is here to watch a boring show. It’s never as down right disgustingly rude as the U.S’s though, and it’s not over the top. The U.S.A’s is way too over the top and unnecessary, and most of the criticism isn’t even constructive it’s personally mean.

@@bxbblesongidk how mich more you’ve watched since this comment but yeah. I heard MC Canada was trying to be like US with having “over the top” judging and it wasn’t well received. After season 1 you do see the judges be less obnoxious, but that’s just my observation

For Shawn: A pumpkin is a vernacular term for mature winter squash of species and varieties in the genus Cucurbita that has culinary and cultural significance[1][2] but no agreed upon botanical or scientific meaning.[3] The term pumpkin is sometimes used interchangeably with "squash" or "winter squash", and is commonly used for cultivars of Cucurbita argyrosperma, Cucurbita ficifolia, Cucurbita maxima, Cucurbita moschata, and Cucurbita pepo.[1]
