i chose this wanted a locking mechanism on the clamp a 1/4 thread at bottom to attach to mini tripod/hand grip cold shoe for my mic and most importantly - additional1/4threads so i can attach my peak design hand strap i had another that had all those features but was entirely made of plastic, cost about £7 and was way bulkier and the additional 1/4 thread was actually shared with the one that mounted to the tripod/hand grip so it wasn't as tight as i'd have liked

Looks v good. I've just bought a Ulanzi ST-14 here in China. Same price (but 2x price in rest of the world). Ticks the same boxes but the quick release slider is too easily triggered. I've taped over it and just use the thumbscrew to mount & release the phone. Blessings

I can’t say that I have noticed any tripod noise, but I think it really depends on the quality of the mic. I was using the rode videoMic, but I’ve now switched to the Rode Wireless Go, which is awesome 😁
