Kpop in 2014 was amazing! I loved the music, focus on beautiful vocals, edm & dubstep, fashion and the concepts the most of this year. It's also the year I became multifandom and got into boygroups for the first time, both boy and girl groups where really good! So glad I was able to experience this beautiful year in Kpop 💜💜💜

@@Mimelune I wouldn't describe it that way but I agree with the sentiment. They became successful with Um Ah Oh Yeah, afterwards releasing You're the Best and Décalcomanie which I think are on the standard of before. I agree with their best period being 2014-16, their music was really good. Then Yes I Am expanded on Um Ah Oh Yeah's sound but I think it's just an ok rendition of that sound, marking their regression point for me. Their music 2017-20 I would call mostly solid, very solid or good but below their rookie + Décalcomanie music, Gogobebe being the only one I would call great, but still they kept a positive standard up to Dingga Dingga. It's also in this mid-late 1st contract period that they let go completely off their original sound which I'm fine with as long as your music is still good. Aya + subsequent releases were a 2nd dip and I think it's getting progressively worst. Now I don't think they even hold to an acceptable level of music production with Illella being their worst single and a genuinely mediocre song. Now both their sound I liked (Jazzy, funky) is gone and even their new releases are inferior renditions of what they've done successfully 2017-20. A course correction is very much needed and it's probably already too late as their popularity was greatly diminished by 2 long hiatuses after underwhelming releases that led up to other 2 underwhelming releases. It feels as an unfortunate send-off to one of the top 3rd Generation girl groups in case they go inactive or disband - but then again great or good send-offs are rare.

Yea ofc luck is somewhat involved but dont underestimate good company management and promotion. Bighit really took the opportunity and make a good use of it. Now I can't listen to other groups outside YG. The songs aren't like back in the day. It's all about concepts and doing the most but less talent. Miss the old days man.

Song Ji Eun - Don’t look at me like that is still one of my favorite songs till this day 💔 I remember even singing it at Kpop party back in 2014 when Kpop wasn’t even a big deal yet in Ukraine. Anyway thank you so much for bringing these songs again into my life especially Spica. Love them still❤️ and domino game and 123 were such a jam.
