The BEST Kart Combo for 200CC - MK8DX

The Meta in 200CC is VERY different than the Meta in 150CC.

Well, then I’m sure you won’t win every time trial with that combination. Speed is important here as well, and handling is something useless if you know how and when to start drifting. Also, antigravity speed is key for some tracks. Really important. I’m not trying to be annoying, but look at the 200cc world records and you won’t find your combo

I prefer Baby Rosalina Biddybuggy Roller Paper Glider, where Baby Rosa sacrifices some max speed for extra handling in comparison to Dry Bones.

@hollow5024 i assume this is talking about normal races though, not time trials. time trial combos are different from multiplayer meta even on 150cc and differ per track too so it would be impossible to say what the "best" time trialling combo is. you're completely right and it threw me for a loop while watching but it's not the point the video is making

I do too actually, the stats literally say she's my most used together with one of the inward drift bikes, which are worse than outward drift, but I don't care about that, I love drifting like a real racing motorbike

For everyone's information, the competitive meta of 200cc uses exactly the same combo as 150cc. Yoshi, teddy buggy/ms scutty and the blue/red wheels.

For 200cc, i pretty much use what is referred to as the Captain Falcon combo. It's where I take my medium mii character with the Captain Falcon amiibo racing suit, the Blue Falcon kart, the red rollers and paper glider. That combo has pretty much been my main ever since i unlocked the Blue Falcon and the Captain Falcon suit and I've gotten multiple online dubs using it, even on the 2 F-Zero tracks Mute City and Big Blue and every W i get is dedicated to Captain Falcon himself. So yeah, needless to say my passion and dedication for Captain Falcon and F-Zero runs deep within me.

my favorite 200cc setup is shy guy on mr scooty with offroads. i like the extra traction the tires get, great for braking on tight turns, plus mr scooty has a good mini turbo stat while having more acceleration and not being too fast. shy guy is just because i love shy guy :3

The one combo I think goes well with ANY CC would be the ShyGuy, Scooter, Slim tires and any glider. It has fast mini turbo, good handling and great weight. It got me my golden items for racing the ghost.

I actually went with the koopa, streedle, rollers and cloud. It's a pretty decent build giving almost maxed out mini turbo. It has slightly worse handling iirc, but it didn't really affect my 3 starring all cups in 200 cc including dlc.

A lot of 200cc time trial records use Yoshi pipe frame with rollers, make use of that as you will.

Personally, I recommend shy guy with the roller wheels and Mr scooty with the cloud glider yeah shy guy is slightly faster than the baby character but you won’t even notice a difference and he has a small gothic too

It actually fully depends on the track and on the mode. For example, this combo is not good for most tracks even on 200cc in time trials since high speed is very important there since you don't get hit. However, in the online mode, I'd still recommend Yoshi Teddy Buggy or maybe just a little lighter weighted kart since speed is still a pretty important stat.

I play 200cc all the time with a max speed stat kart build, and I’m always outracing anyone else due to the fact that even in 150cc you have to drift somewhat early to get a good mini turbo, so it’s not that difficult for me to race with a poor handling stat at such high speeds.

@@Sersun I’ve had the tendency to run with the B Dasher, along with Slick wheels and a regular glider while using a max heavyweight character. It’s the definition of a risk-reward build, because if you know how to drift early enough, you have the ability to outrace anyone not using a good enough build, but it has a poor item pull rate as well as having poor acceleration, so you would have to be wary of anything that makes you lose all of your momentum. I like it since I’m always up for a risky gamble in video games, but I understand why most people wouldn’t run it.

But what I feel about those who don't play 200CC means that they, 1: Aren't too weak, they just can't handle it as well... 2: Prefer 150 or competitive online... if this is fully accurate... 3: They think it's too fast and don't do it.

SPOILER AHEAD😊 If you want to collect gold mario, I recommend using the video's setup and the smart steering. This way, you can drift without worrying. Also, you should turn the smart steering off if you can do a trick, otherwise it'll get in the way This is just a recommendation so you don't have to listen

speed matters a lot more than people think on 200cc, yoshi has 1 whole point of speed more than baby characters and only loses 0.25 points of acceleration/speed so it’s still better to use yoshi and biddybuggy/teddy on 200cc
