I've never seen this movie, but I've done the show - the costume designer was in charge of Dolly Parton's wardrobe at DOLLYWOOD. Also, when I worked on the Universal Hollywood backlot, I spent a lot of time at the Chicken Ranch set from the film. Charles Durning is great in this scene.

I just want you to think about something -- Charles was 58 when this was filmed (filmed in 81, came out in 82) he was drafted at age 20 and participated in the Normandy invasion... He was overweight during this filming but danced like this! God love him! I am not yet 56 and I can't even walk without pain! :P

The theme song for politicians everywhere. Sidestepping everything they can and not saying a damn thing.

So no one's going to talk about how this man is casually doing magic? Ok.

I guess he worked as a dancing teacher before he became a top actor. You can see the grace in the man. Amazing life story.

You are correct he was a professional ballroom dancer and he taught at Fred Astaire’s dance studio and the funny thing is the filmmakers actually did NOT know that he can dance like that

This is an Oscar nominated performance right here. As a Texas resident, I’d vote for him for governor.
