Lumix GH5 photography settings 2019! After many requests finally made a video going through my Lumix GH5 photo settings that have worked the best for me. The GH5 is a powerful camera more for video but I have found a way to get photos I am happy with out of it! Let me know any questions or comments below, happy shooting.

Good stuff Ryan. My settings are pretty much the same on my GH5. I’m pretty color blind. Blue is the only Focus Peaking color I can make out. I am able to load raw photos in LR. ?

love your vids, got a question...when im shooting in Manual mode for photos and im changing my exposure around whether its my shutter or aperture, I dont see any live changes being made, the numbers are changing and my ev is changing but the image is not showing it get brighter or darker, is there a setting i have on thats stopping it from showing the "live changes"

to further explain...at 7:15 you start changing exposure settings and your picture/zebras etc are changing brighter darker. When i change settings nothing changes. hope im clear. Thanks for reading.

Hey man, go to the settings, select the sub menu with the wrench and scroll until you see constant preview and turn that on. That should fix your issue

If you shoot RAW... None of the settings effect the RAW file... You can go -5 across the board or +5 and the RAW files will be identical in every way... And if your Doing Post processing, I would Suggest to ALWAYS use RAW and not jpeg.

Hey Dame- I personally like to shoot in RAW+JPEG as I say in the video, because then I have both options. But if you are super confident all you want is the RAW file then that makes sense. Cheers

I rented the gh5 over the weekend. I noticed that when looking through the evf, the image jitters and strobes. Have you noticed this?

In artifical light it may do this with florescent lighting. Should not happen outdoors.

Canon might be a better brand for your needs as they're more photo-geared plus you'll get great video options too. You may sacrifice the GH5's 4k for a Canon DSLR depending on your budget.

You said 4:3 in the other video

Use 4:3. If you use 16:9 it is just cutting off the top and bottom of the sensor so you aren't getting the full image. Better to get that and play around with it in post.
