The Best LX? | 2014 LX 570 Luxury Review

I've got an LS430 from 2004 which I still drive because no part has ever failed on it, in 15 years. I remember driving and pulling up behind one of these 2014ish LX570 models, it was in that beautiful White that Lexus have which served to emphasise it's size and angles rather than diminishing or hiding them. I was in awe. It looked massive, it seriously looked like The King of The Road, those rear lights are huge and singular too. It's the sort of car best admired from another car, walking around it doesn't make quite the same impact. Were I to switch to another 2nd hand Lexus it'd definitely be one of these. I also think their relative rarity makes that visual impact stronger.

Previously owned a 2005 LX 470, then had a TRD 4Runner for 2.5 years and could not wait to pay it off so I could trade it and get back into a Lexus. Just traded this past weekend and picked up my 2015 LX 570 with only 23,456 miles on it. Not a fan of the newer 2016 - 2020 LX 570 body style. Love being back in a Lexus LX. Looking forward to many family adventure in this beast. Wish I could post a picture here of it. It literally looks like new, high off the show room floor.

I know I am a bit late but I just bought one certified and it is the best car I have owned! I am upgrading from 05 G wagon and the LX is so much more comfortable. The one I bought is in Black Onyx and has a tan interior with luxury package. I love it so much!

Hey Kirk. I did not extend the warranty because the LX is very reliable so I don’t expect to have any problems with it. I love the fact that I got a LX for the price of a well equipped RX! Sure it is missing some tech but the LX is probably one of the greatest SUVs built.

Good review as always! I love the LX! It would be my #1 choice for a large luxury SUV. Luxurious, reliable, practical, and good looking. Toyota/Lexus makes the best vehicles on the planet by far!

I have on the 2004 LX and now a 2010 LX and I’m literally about to drive to Florida to buy a 2003 LX that has night vision and then in February when the prices drop a little more I will be getting a 2016+ as long as I can get something in the mid 35,000 range and I will trade in my 2010 absolutely love watching this video

Love my LX470, really like this model can't stand the look of the 2016 and newer. Would have to get the LC. Wish they would sell US LC models optioned without all the unnecessary tech.

I got a kick when you spotted that 1996 LX450. I have one just like it and it’s a daily driver. I’m thinking of my next one and I like the styling of 2013-2015 models. Good review.

19:05 that gave me a shock lol The reason why it feels so baseline is because that generation LX was very close to the land cruiser not much to differentiate Unlike the latest refresh which differentiates from the land cruiser quite a lot

Just replaced my 2007 GX470 (205,000 mi and still runninglike a top) with a 2013 LX. Best car I've owned and much prefer the styling of this generation.

My family of 6 prefer travelling in our LX570 than our GX470 due to the extra interior width and sliding second row. It is too tight in the GX470 with 6 people including car seats. We didn't like the 2016+ LX570 due to the idiotic screen control. I would prefer the 2016+ Land Cruiser over the 2016+ LX570 just for the 8 speed transmission. The 2013 to 2015 LX570 retained the best of 2008-2012 style design (no predator grill), upgraded MTS, Turn Assist, Crawl Control, and kept the touch screen instead of the stupid mouse control. I off road my 4Runner, GX, and LX so those off-road features are handy.

I’m in the market to trade in our 2013 GX460 for 2015 or older (but same generation/body style) LX570 for obvious reason of better ride and most importantly more quietness and comfort. Having had LS430 I just knew GX460 is not at that level yet, but LX should be.

Naturally my fav vids feature the LX! Well done, wouldn't expect anything less from you. Are the third row seats on the 570 not removable like the 470? I can see how the power fold function could interfere with easy removal. I agree that these earlier versions of the 570 look a bit better than the current one, tho I am a big fan of the spindle grilles also. If I ever replace the 470 it would 100% be with one of these. I know your affinity for the 470 but I can see this being the perfect family car for you at some point and can't wait for the day when we see vids of your own rig. (I hope both Lexus and your G.M. appreciate having somebody as enthusiastic and knowledgeable as you representing the brand.)

Looks like you and I have similar tastes in Lexus vehicles. I personally love the 2008-2010 GX470 , and 2013-2015 LX570 more than others. Currently own a 2008 GX470. Next vehicle will be a 2013-2015 LX570. The newer LX570s are too busy exterior-wise speaking. Their interior is nicer, but I can't stand the exterior design of them.

No dials for fan control should be illegal imo. You can adjust a dial in a split second and barely take your eyes off the road.

Better later than.. Great review. I just bought a 2013 with 75,000kms or 46000miles. Silver with dark interior. It's so clean and looks better than anything else. The very last "Understated Luxury" vehicle made by Lexus. After 2015 they look absolutely awful.. like really tacky and sad tbh...I digress. The previous owner was meticulous and it's honestly showroom condition. It's so solid and drives better than anything I tested. More than 10 vehicles. They all feel like toys. A rolling iPad destined to break after rattled and frozen on our terrible roads and weather, because digital screens love -25c, right Range Rover? It's not even a comparison. At ten years old it looks and feels new. Value held is shocking VS any euro trash. I'm looking forward to a lifetime of enjoyment. The only other vehicle I'd get is another one of these so if I'm alive and able to drive in 25 years I can just start it up and begin a new love affair and obviously keep this one for weekends. Hope you have achieved your own goal of one!

Unlike the Air Suspension in the RANGE ROVERS, G WAGONS, GLE, X7 KDSS is a hydraulic fluid system that aids in stabilizing the vehicle during cornering and off-roading. It's a robust and almost maintenance free system. 2nd. Reliability. 3rd. Ruggedness. Cons: Excessive weight and massive engine renders these beasts to be gas guzzlers. Price. At almost 90,000 USD for the LC and 100 Grand for the LX they are super expensive and often the GX And 4 Runner makes for a great alternative. My Dream Car would be the Legendary LX 470 2006-2007 with the 4.7L vvti engine and Mercerdes S CLASS W140.
