Everyone always says don't put foundation under your eyes but I was in a hurry one day and tried adding my foundation on top of a corrector that was too brightening and it actually looked good. And the foundation was self setting so I didn't have to add powder which always crepes up my undereye wrinkles no matter which powder I have tried. I am 51 and my undereyes wrinkles, purple circles, and crows feet are the biggest problems on my face. I can't get rid of the wrinkles either. I never had problems with concealer looking awful and aging me until I got all these wrinkles.

I purchased the Chantechaille Future Skin Gel Foundation and the Camo Concealer last week. It just so happens we wear the exact same shades. At first, I thought the coverage wasn’t going to be enough for my dark (red) circles, but you were right! I am so pleased with the results on my over 50 skin! I Just started using the Chantecaille Stylo Pen and Future Skin combo about 2 weeks ago LOL I use the by Terry Hydrating powder though. I discovered this by accident because I got distracted and forgot where I was in makeup application steps. This combo keeps my under eyes very hydrated which I prefer over a heavy looking coverage on my older under eyes. Definitely been my go to lately. I'm going to take a look at the Ilia powder. Your demos are always the very best.

I can get my right eye fairly covered and am fine with how that looks. I agree with you on sacrificing coverage! My left eye is my problem child and has such a deep trough that no matter what I do I can barely get any coverage at all! But like you I'm not doing fillers. I will try these products to see if they help. Great video as always!

Mandy, yet another super helpful video! My under eye makeup continue to be my biggest challenge. I will def purchase this trio. Question: Do you think Colorscience 3-in-1 does the trick for darkness coverage, or is the Chantecaille Stylo a more effective color corrector?

@@MandyDavisMUA Oh my goodness! I did this combo this past weekend and I love it! I do it backwards from you... I put the Future skin foundation first, and then apply the pen on top... but it looked so natural and didn't get dry on me during the day. I am 60 YO so that is quite a feat! I have been using foundation under the eye as long as I can remember. Besides Sisley concealer, everything looks aging under my eyes, so I’m my everyday I skip concealer and use any foundation and it gives me the most natural coverage. Luckily, I don’t have very dark undereye. Would love to try chantecaille concealer some day. Thank you for another great video, blessings

Yes! I adore the Chantecaille mascara. I do think with consistent wear, it makes the lashes healthier, and in some instances, longer.

I do feel like there is a difference. I much prefer the ilia under my eyes, but if I am wanting a more filtered, matte look on the face, I would reach for the beautycounter. Hope this helps!

If not, what corrector would you recomenda that would give more coverage but still maintain the aspect of the Future Skin Gel?

Is that the old Becca corrector that is now with Smashbox? I find the Fit Glow Beauty corrector in peach has more coverage and still works great with the Chantecaille. Hope this helps!

I always use eye cream as part of my morning routine, but sometimes it's 3-4 hours after before I do makeup, and I have had no issues. I actually am currently using the Alastin both morning and night.

Hello Mandy 😊 My under eyes are white, not the same colour as my face and in my nose lol. Mandy have you watched any videos of ladies who have never put makeup on in there lives ? i think they are are mostly Russian. Some of them have massive birthmarks and scars. 2 I've watched are The Power of Makeup and Goar Avetisyan. 💙💙💙

Hi Mandy, great video! I have the Chantecaille in the lightest shade. You are using shade 3. What is the best way to choose your color? I have dark under eye circles too. I think my skin color is light with neutral undertone.

I haven't seen any of the other colors in person, so I don't want to speak out of turn. But I usually choose foundation/concealers based on whatever says light-medium in the description, and that is what the shade 3 is described as. It looks like 2 may be good for you. ❤️

Thanks for this video. I have mega blue/purple under eyes, but I have slightly lighter skin than you (my regular concealers are 1 (winter) & 2 in the summer. Do you think 3 would be too dark? For reference, in Bobbi Brown light bisque is my corrector color, but I also use the Chanel corrector.

I think if you use the Chanel corrector, you will be fine with #3. 😀

It may just be the powders you have tried possibly? Have you tried the Ilia, or maybe trying something that is a bit lighter and not marketed as a concealer like I did in this video. It has helped me immensely.

I think it would be lovely for mature skin...it's super finely milled and soft focused.

I am 55 and have recently noticed my under eye area has become more dry and looks worse when I set with powder so I have forgone the powder and am contemplating not using concealer anymore either and just using my foundation, I would rather be a little dewy than dried and cracked looking under my eyes.

If you can forgo powder, that's great! I can use the best concealer on the planet, and it still settles into my lines without powder, so it's a must for me. I have found some great ones though, so that is a plus!

I don't put foundation under them when I apply the foundation to the rest of the face. But I will, like in this video, use it as my concealer. Hope this helps!
