Katie, I had some ginger I had bought at the store and it started to sprout, I planted it! I know it grows slow or it has for me. But I put it in a pot and will need to bring in the house before frost and hopefully next year I can harvest some!

I love the life that your Binx has. We have a semi-feral (he was feral and then he decided we're his people, just like Binx did with y'all) cat who looks exactly like Binx. He greets me in the morning, looking for food and a little brush. these sound like they'll be good for the Christmas season. some of my family always does a cookie exchange, where everyone makes a different type of cookie and we split the batches to where everyone gets a few of each type. This will definitely make it into the rotation this year! God bless!

Thanks Katie. Love your cookies. I love everything ginger. I live in Canada so our Thanksgiving is this weekend. I made Pecan Pie this morning and then Shrimp Cocktail and Caesar Salad. I have been hungry for either molasses cookies or ginger snap cookies for a while now and when I saw those your mom had made it caused my craving to intensify but now watching you actually make them has just pushed me over the edge so I will be baking either tonight in the middle of the night or tomorrow after I watch all my church services (I am unable to go to a church so I watch several courtesy of internet) ....poor baby, teething pain is miserable for them--ask granny if a 'sugar tit' would help -- it might if it was fairly cool

Just a tip….if you crumple up your parchment paper before you put it on the pan it is easy to fit…Gingersnaps are my favourite and so is maple…now I’m going to try combining them…Mmm!
