Not at all. I never really placed much value on the restaurants. Having access to the Chase lounges is the value in this cards priority pass in my opinion.

For the Boundless card, every $5k spend gets you one elite night credit. That's not a night you can stay at a hotel; that's a night that's added to your total nights at Marriott for elite status.

I am just discovering the world of hotel CC's. As an AMEX platinum card holder, I have gold status with Hilton & Marriott. My question is; do you think it's worthwhile to obtain a Hilton or Marriott CC, or would doing so simply be "redundant?'

Depends on a lot of factors. Would diamond & platinum status mean something to you? If so, the hilton aspire and/or bonvoy brilliant should be considered.

I have the Ritz-Carlton, just got the Boundless, hit the min spend, and will product change to a 2nd R-C in 12 months. P2 will do the same in April. Zero interest in the Aspire. We both have the AX Hilton Biz.

Can you do a comparison video between the Visa Boundless and the Ritz card? Everyone compares the AmEx to the Ritz card. But i want to know what i am gaining and losing when i upgrade from the boundless to the Ritz card and if it is worth it. Also, the 3 free club upgrades per year. Is that for 3 visits or 3 days? Lile say i am making 3 different trips all staying at the Ritz for 2 nights, can i ise those 3 upgrades for both nights on each if the 3 stays?

It’s in the works. And even though it won’t simply be a comparison of these 2 cards, it’ll compare them as part of a travel duo strategy. Main things: Protections: Ritz has the best (Visa Infinite) Marriott Status: upgrade from Silver to Gold Free Night Award: upgrade from 35k to 85k Airport Lounge Access: upgrade from nothing to priority pass with restaurants (includes Chase Sapphire Lounges) Annual Fee: moves from $95 to $450 There’s definitely more, but that’s a few highlights.

And to your question about the club upgrades: it allows you to upgrade your stay on paid stays of up to 7 nights, 3 times per year.

I hold the Brilliant, Ritz-Carlton card, and 2 Aspires. All have their use cases. I'm not even that big into nice hotels and I still find value in holding all of these

$2,200 in annual fees! No doubt, these can be valuable cards. I assume you stay at some nice properties to take advantage of those FNA’s.. would love to hear how else you get value.

@beaunoonan510 I'm on a 12 day Bali trip. 2 nights IHG, 2 Marriott (one of them FHR), rest Hyatt (Ubud, Seminyak, Uluwatu). Also using the Aspire biannual resort credit on meals at Hikton resorts here. The Ritz Carlton card has the best insurances and protections in the game. But I still hold a CSR. Hilton Diamond, Marriott Platinum are VERY valuable in S America and Asia. Always get suite upgrades. I always make sure to get 1cpp+ with Marriott FNCs. Brilliant is always 50/50 for me to renew. Ritz and Aspire are no Brainers and I want 3 of each!

Great overview appreciate the video. I plan on getting the Boundless soon for those 5 free nights, then will have to consider PC to Ritz Carlton after 1 year, or wait 2 years and get Brilliant SUB before PC to Ritz Carlton, then can downgrade Brilliant to Amex Bonvoy. Which would you recommend if I do not have Platinum status? Only have Gold status with Amex Platinum. Just wondering if the Platinum status is worth it with the AF of the Brilliant or just sticking with Ritz.

The Ritz card is certainly very good, the question is whether PC to the Ritz will still be around, and with the same benefits, should you get a Chase Bonvoy card today. Would be horrible to burn a 5/24 slot getting a Boundless now and be denied a Ritz next year. It’s also unclear if you have both a Chase personal and Amex business card (the Chase Bonvoy business card is discontinued) the gratis elite nights stack. I know they do if both cards are Amex.

As long as it’s one personal card and one biz card, the elite nights stack. Cannot stack 2 personal cards. Ritz card + Amex Marriott biz card with 15 Élite night credits and 5 free nights welcome offer would be solid combo

I have found Marriots to be a step up in general value and availability world wide. I have found the Diamond status questionable especially in the US. I have the Brilliant, along with Amex monthly credit fatigue. Got my eyes on the Ritz Carlton as a replacement since I have Platinum status thru the end of 2025. Nice vid👍🏾

​​@@PackRat0331good point. For those who naturally get platinum status from stayed nights; the brilliant along with the business amex would make them reach titanium actually. Can't hurt to have the Ritz alongside as well for another 85k night, and titanium status.
