The Best Maya Plugins and Scripts - Animbot, World Bake, LM Spring and More...

This is the list of my most used animation scripts, plugins, and tools for Autodesk Maya. I've gotten quite a few questions on the different scripts and plugins I use throughout my videos, so this will serve as kind of the go-to repository where you can find any of the common tools I use in my Maya tutorials.

Great video. I wonder is your characters rigs have muscle system or just rigs? I see some animations that characters have like muscle motion but im not sure.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I cannot find your video on how to use LMSpring. I grabbed it on your recommendation and it seems pretty straightforward, but when I run it, it takes forever and the viewport flashes rapidly and it creates tons and tons of layers in my scene. If you could link me your video on it, that would be helpful, thanks.

i have maya 2023 and it works for me, put the ml_utilities (important) and the ml_worldbake into your documents/maya/scripts folder and youll be fine but you need those two files

it is a command you run in the maya script editor, you can find it in the description. Add and remove keyframes command: timeSliderEditKeys removeInbetween; timeSliderEditKeys addInbetween;

@@fletch_fx if that then I would make sure you’re adding world bake to the right scripts folder as you can have different folders Maya is trying to read.

@@littlecurrybread tried putting the files in 'Documents\maya\scripts' and I also tried 'Documents\maya\2023\scripts' and neither one worked. What's supposed to happen when it does work? Does a shelf button automatically get created or something?

​@@fletch_fx no you will have to activate it by going to windows > general editors > script editor, paste in the two lines of code in the python tab. line 1: import ml_worldBake; line 2: ml_worldBake . ui(), i added the spaces because yt will think that's a link. then in the script editor > file > save script to shelf. this will create a shelf icon on the shelf you have highlighted, so if you want it on your animation shelf then click on that before pulling up the script editor.
