Great run down on the coil range Gary and very informative. I was thinking last year of adding the white 9" HF coil to compliment my 11" normal black coil (which had served me well). I was invited to the Regton stand (next to you at the XP display stand) at Detectival last year and we chatted on the subject of HF coils. Nigel at Regton agreed with the reasoning of getting the 9" HF for the small hammered targets and as you and Nigel give the thumbs up, that was good enough for me. I can confirm that my finds rates on small hammered coins has indeed increased, especially the tiny cut halves and quarters as well as other very small artefact targets and small roman coins. The 9" white coil is actually my main coil of choice now. Cheers.Keith

I bought the ORX with the 9 inch round HF. I never wanted another coil. This thing absolutely rocks! It finds deep targets, small targets, and can even go to the "low" 13.3kHz. I am truly amazed by the power and flexibility of the ORX. No matter the ground, no matter the target, you'll find it. I've never found gold, but I haven't had this for long. I don't even really care, because it's such a joy to use this machine. I feel like it could do anything!

Very informative. There is nothing like XP coils! I recently got the HF and I’m amazed how I can hear tiny pieces of gold with the threshold turned up, and the same coil can be used to find coins. I’m really looking forward to using this in the California goldfields this fall.

Good video Gary. I still think the best allround coil for almost any machine is 11 inch . But the best in trash on the Deus/ORX is the 9 inch white . I think if XP came out with a larger elliptical at 12 x 10 inch it would take on the Minelab's more in the Gold fields . Maybe it would be a bit awkward in trash having high freq or used in high freq but for the small Gold nuggets it would be deeper i am sure. When i watch Aussie Gold Hunters and they are using the Minelab P.I. machines , a lot of the time they are pulling out nuggets that are around the weight of a standard Gold ring and at no more than 6 to 8 inches . I am sure that the Deus and ORX could match at least that with a larger coil with high freq and pull out the 1 gram nuggets at depth too. A bigger white HF coil would give better coverage too.

Great video Gary. I’m not sure I agree re the big coil having difficulty finding small targets - I’ve found more tiny hammered coins with the x35 13” than I did with my standard 11” since buying. @@The-skillschool Hello Gary, I think I would search on a mid frequentie, something around 28? But whit the X35 coil you will cover more ground which make the searching easyer.. Its indeed hard to say which one is beter.. But thanx for answering.🙂

Hi I have a question..... With my orx which coil goes deeper at areas with low/mid Iron contamination? X35 11x13 or 9" x35??? 11x13 never can works with low reactivity (always at 2.5)....with 9 inch coil can I work with low reactivity and the machine works settled? And go deeper of course

Just watched your Estonia video . Take me when you go again Gary please , love those Silver Hammered . As for this video. Ask XP to make a multi freq coil , if the box is just receiver and can be updated then maybe a new multi freq coil could be made for it. I thought the coil was where all the real tech is? I see Garrett has or is releasing a new multi freq machine . A bigger white HF coil would be good too . But then I have already said that haven't I . Great video as usual .

Hi I am running a x35 9 inch coil but brought a spare used 11 inch coil and can’t get it to pair can the coil be updated
@toby0000003 жыл бұрын
You have probably figured this out already - the answer is yes. As part of the upgrade process (assuming you have correctly added the serial number and new coil) you will be prompted to select the new coil and it will perform the update. I had exactly the same issue with my new 11" coil.

So if the HF elliptical can get a higher freq and shoot deeper. Why would you go with the x35 11”? Just trying to get an understanding of how the x35 11” can handle better in situations compared to that of the HF elliptical.
