I do know what you mean. They excel at doing those ones like Amazing Grace and The Prayer or Christmas pieces because they know exactly how to infuse them with maximum impact.They suit the type of vocals they have...but...they also are really great with newer pop and rock stuff. Maybe you need to explore more of their originals? List of originals: Sing, Run To You, The Lucky Ones, Love Again, Happy Now, Love Me When I Don't, Be My Eyes, Cracked, Can't Sleep Love.

Their early evolutions are on a couch just singing. Little to no post production. They just sing it three or four times and then post the best one. There is a live version of this. Google Pentatonix at Pop Spring. They arrange and transition better than anyone. They are just magical musical unicorns. They have several evolutions and all of them are excellent. My favorite is their Evolution of Music. You will be surprised at how deep they go and how many genres they cover. They also did a Beyonce Evolution.

Thanks for the fun reaction. The other evolution videos are the evolution of Music, Beyonce, Digamma and Ariana Grande. All ate filmed in one take. They normally do 3 or 4 takes and choose the best. No cut and paste.
