New to your channel because of mini zs there awesome lots of fun. I customized my first one upgraded decently I just ordered a new one today. I absolutely love them more then my 1/10 rc drift cars. There's just something about the pocket drift car that gets me every time haha

We used to race Mini Z's in 05 (ish) and it was some of the most fun racing I've done. Our LHS had a good sized banked oval that then had a road course into the middle (Kind of like daytona, we're in Florida so it makes sense) as well as an off road type course for the Overlanders. They used to make an F1 car (they would break SUPER easy) someone created a carbon kit w/ a body to convert them to a nascar style car. I don't care about nascar but they handled good , were fast and some great racing! Probably the first clone to a mini z was a company called Iwaiver & back then they were pretty close! They're still around today under " FIrelap - Iwaiver". No idea how they are now. But no clones are ever better than the real thing (99.9% of the time IMO) Lots of fun , I miss racing them!!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! lol

awww.. I came across this video and your channel completely by happenstance! I used to be eyeball deep into the xmod and mini-z culture almost 20 years ago back in my college and single-man working days lol I do only have one surviving xmod model left standing, and my 010-AWD Millenium Jade Skyline kit pretty much burned itself to death during it's last Kyosho dyno run (which btw at the time was in excess of 30KPH!) . It's still lays in pieces from all of the electronics and power modding that it had underwent. Amidst all of your excitement while watching your video inspired me to find that readyset on ebay once again and not think twice about having it once more because it was just so much fun to play with at the time. Back then the culture was in the straight-line speed, but being almost 20 years older now, knowing what the 010-awd can and cannot do, I think I'll leave this one stock and enjoy it for what it was originally engineered to do. Thank you for that , and with that you've gained a new sub. :)

Best *powersliding* mini rc car. Best mini rc drift cars are: GLD, DRZ, Driftart, XRX, etc…just saying for those that don’t know. Best bodies for all of them are Kyosho‘s ASC (Mini-Z) tho.

Mini Zs no doubt definitely cool,honestly I have never actually got to put eyes on one, but when you said rear wheel, front, or all wheel?? That got them to spot on the list of all list! Q. Name One person who is not a posser!

I have the Porsche drift mini z and 2 wltoys. The wltoys are way noisier than the mini z, one of them also seems to have some binding issues. So yes thumbs up for kyosho.

Yeah, the tolerances in the diffs on the WLs are no where near as close as Kyosho.

Funny thing is….I have 15 mini-z’s (runners, including two f1’s) also have about 55 autoscales I have collected on a shelf! Rectly got an AWD for our box stock AWD class. They are super fun and just a tad slower than box stock GT cars.

I actually bought that exact one last year. The steering occasionally sticks, and I couldn't figure out how to take it apart to fix it haha. I saw the silver Sylvia was available on Amain, was thinking of picking that up so I can tear into my GTR and not worry if it fully breaks or not haha. I bought the Panasonic Eneloop Pro AAA batteries, and those seem to last quite a while.

Love these mini z's!!! I've got 5 now I think lol I've had some bad luck tho 2 came out of the box faulty. One's steering was wack and gets stuck if bumbed to hard. The other had a bad esc , wouldn't drive forward. Have you had any issues with them? Still a wonderful car for the price.

A guy we race with had the Patronas Lexus and the steering was doing the same thing (I think) but he got it fixed. I’m not sure what he did.

I dig them, I'm at that stage of just not sure about pulling the trigger on something so small, picked up a cheap team associated st28 talk about chase the cat around the house lol, them mini z 's are definitely awesome, some bodys like you said are absolutely sick in detail!!

They’re all Kyosho mini zs. If you run them on a track you NEED tires. Most of the guys we race with have stock setups (other than tires) The only modifications I have on the mini z that I compete with is a carbon chassis plate and a stiffer suspension spring. That’s it.

I don’t know why but my mini z’s never go on the floor outside. I really wish there was a couple of clubs here in wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. I’ve heard of 1 club here for drifting but I also hear it’s a lot like bumper cars on an old, uneven wooden floor so I just use mine when & where I can.

I think you should change the title to best RTR and mini body. As far as chassis goes all the equally balanced carbon fiber hobby grades blow this toy away. Don't get me wrong, I just bought an MA020 and it looks fantastic but it's garbage to drive compared to my Drift Art.

Miniz are awsome but in terms of tuning and save money and make it better a Wltoys 969 is better and in the end cheaper the main prob about Miniz is the steering servo and the main board.If you wanna convert a 27mhz Miniz to digtal its a lot of $$$.Wltoys 969 is way better and cheaper plus you can use nearly all the tuning parts from a Miniz.I own 8Miniz so i know what im talking about. Got lot of money and you want it simple get a Miniz. If you wanna have freedom in tuning and build a drift beast get a Wltoys 969.The main prob is the steering angle Miniz is just poor as a stock espacily the old 27mhz models the new 2ghz are way better but also so $$$$$.
