Ich bin so froh das ich die Lok von Märklin bekommen habe. Sind ja beides die gleichen Modelle nur mit anderen Sound und rauchkammerfarbe ^^ tolles Video 😁

Diese von BLI ist besser. Hat bessere Details. Leider der Decoder ist nicht so gut. Wird aber evtl. durch ESU LokSound 5 ersetzt... 🙂

@@MaxSupercars die Details sind gleich weil Märklin eine Kooperation mit Broadway Limited gemacht hat. Erwähnen die zwar nicht aber die Modelle sehen gleich aus nur das die Farbe anders ist und die weißen Streifen an den Seiten fehlen. Möchte meine auch gerne mit ESU loksound ausstatten aber ich weiß nicht wie das so alles klappt mit dem Rauchgenerator 😪 meine GS4 musste den Rauchgenerator schon aufgeben. Muss man sich mal mehr informieren 🙈

@@marc_abby Hast du eine glaubwürdige offizielle Quelle? Ich glaube dem nicht. Die Details sind anders und Märklin entwickelt "Fahrwerk" für R1 Kurven was bei BLI mindestens R22" ist usw...

@@MaxSupercars nein das habe ich nicht aber für sowas brauch man keine Quelle. Alles ist gleich an der Lok sogar der Rauchgenerator sowie in Führerhaus die sitze, die für Broadway Limited Figuren sind. Hab die Aufbau Anleitungen gesehen 😀 wie Märklin das mit dem Radius machen weiß ich nicht aber es sind die selben Modelle :)

Very handsome looking UP FEF class model, i like the "greyhound" paint scheme on engines 836 and 840 that BLI offers. This locomotive sounds best with the Loksound V5 decoder from my judgement, from what I've heard from individuals that own BLI locomotives the Paragon 3 and 4 style decoders have very poor quality performance and so the better sound decoder performance belongs to the ESU file decoders.

Yes right, the Paragon 4 sound is a real disappointment but it was awaited... The only solution is to upgrade the beauty to ESU LokSound 5. 🙂

Yeah, there are background info that Märklin/Trix made cooperation with Broadway Limited. That they have taken the body from BLI and used own electronics, made AC 3-rail version etc... I have compaded many videos and pictures and even all the rivets, hole for smoke whistle etc. are at same position. Who knows... 🙂 But the MäTrix got unrealistic color scheme. The front of the boiler got wrong silver color instead of dark gray or black graphite... MäTrix uses also own sounds.

I have a BLI 844 Paragon 4 and my whistle doesn't sound like that. Did you change your CV's? 🤔

You mean whistle at 3:30 ? It's a sound when you install the ESU LokSound 5 decoder... 😊

Does anybody know how prototypically accurate the pre-2013 (W/ Mars Light) #844 model is? Specifically the marker lights on the tender. I currently own the Athearn version and I'm thinking about picking up one of these but I'd rather not if it's less accurate.

I don't know that, but the main advantage is the metal body. That loco is heavy. I got also the one from Athearn and in comparison with that, by BLI you got a feeling like by Overland metal models. Looks and feels stunning. The disadvantage is decoder, BLI got not very good decoders, sounds are not very good, and also Athearn performs better in curves, because by BLI you need at neast 22" if I good remeber.
