I have the Sony m9 monitor hook up on my pS5 and man!!! The picture quality is crispy sharp and amazing graphics although the pixel density is absolutely great on this monitor. The brightness is super bright and almost no glow or haloing. I think I won the panel lottery

I’m in the same boat for the same g7 Samsung monitor for my ps5 but I love it so much it’s not disappointing at all plus I got it for 626 . I’ll just wait till it fails or I got the money (900!!😱) and make it a dual monitor setup but really there is so little difference to it

I got the g7 for 600$ 2 days ago but I just don’t like. The colors feel washed out and the contrast sucks. Also it’s not bright enough if I make it to bright the contrast takes over. I’m getting a refund and waiting for this monitor hope it’s better than the g7

I just bought it, using my ps5 and Series X with it and it’s amazing, I truly recommend this, it’s way better than the Sony Bravia XR model 4k tv’s the ones that were built for the ps5 in mind but there is a let down with the tv’s, only 60 hertz, should of paid attention but since it was made for the ps5 in mind I assumed it would have 120 hertz off the bat🙃, point in all this, The inzone m9 is very responsive and output is amazing 🤩

OLED sets the bar for all displays now. For $900 it's too close to LG OLED.

Yeah it's hard to justify the price of the M9, when you can get an OLED tv for the same price right now. This size is better though, Since it'll fit on most desks. I have a C2 OLED in my bedroom and a 1440p Asus monitor, and there is a huge difference in picture quality. Once you use an OLED display, Everything else just looks worse. Still, This is a step in the right direction for monitors.

I'm sending my M9 back. It was so close to perfect. But, it has a terrible stand (not an issue for me because I have a triple monitor stand. The reason mine is going back it because it has a group of pixels, about the size of..... maybe a pea, that is stuck or dead. If it was up in a corner, I wouldn't bother sending it back, but, it's near the middle, right in the eye-line. Besides, if I'm shelling out that much for a monitor, it better be near perfect. I can live with the slight halo effect that it can give off when a white object is in black, but others than that, it looked great. Besides, I found another one that's cheaper.

My wish for sony inclusion into the monitor market has come to past. A remote control, one of sony's X processor, a cheaper 32" that will kill the Apple Pro display and Samsung smart monitors will be the dream monitor! Anyway my excitement for this monitor is over the moon! Great review.

It works well! DisplayPort allows for 4K 144Hz, and it's a stunner of a monitor. Too bad Windows' implementation of HDR SUCKS.

What am I doing wrong if my Inzone hub app doesn’t recognize that my monitor is connected? Tried connecting to my laptop via HDMI, USB C, USB A, app just doesn’t recognize an inzone device is connected… drivers are installed and DDC/CI is set to ON… what am I missing??

It's pretty a nice monitor but a bit pricey, the 96 zone FALD is okay; but it's going to bloom a lot with HDR content. I'd expect better coverage of Adobe & SRGB at this money. NVIDIA really really need to update GSync modules as the 120Hz limit at 4k over HDMI is becoming increasingly problematic. Backlight strobing would have been a nice addition, but can understand why it's not included. Glad this isn't an OLED panel, that tech isn't well suited to Monitor use unless you are principally going to be using it for content comsumption. IPS makes sense here. I'm extremely happy Sony are pushing tech forwards with this and I hope the product is successful

@@casmithh yeah imo,paying more than $400+ dollars on a monitor is ridiculous. we have 4K tvs costing as low as $250 now in 2022. and 1080p 120+hz monitors are like $150 . just 2yrs ago they were averagely costing like $250 and 1440p ones were still $400+. things have gone done by $100 pretty much in just 2yrs. at this point we are just waiting for 4K 120+hz monitors to get down to the $300 range

Purchased this monitor when it was released and am using it with my PS5 and M1 MacBook Pro. So far I’m loving it except for some parts of the HDR. I say some parts because when watching movies and gaming in HDR, I notice the local dimming (when set to high) causing the image to exhibit haloing that looks different from what I’ve seen in other Sony LED backlight displays. This only happens in a pitch black room with no bias lighting but it’s actually kinda distracting. To the point where I feel like turning local dimming to low is a better option with HDR content. I find it’s most noticeable with contrasty HDR movie scenes but when you know what to look for it’s noticeable with pretty much all HDR content. You get haloing in the form of squiggly white lines that move around frame depending where highlighted objects/subjects are in the frame. Not sure if it’s just my panel but given that the monitor has none of the screen defects people have been posting online about, I want to say I have a solid panel. Just wondering if anyone can add to this discussion. I love this monitor and if this is a normal backlight consequence on a 27 inch screen, I’m willing to put up with it. But if it’s a defect, then I feel like I should swap it out while the return window is still good. Thanks all 🤘🏼
